Title: Attack level vs mission fleet power
Post by: altaree on April 12, 2007, 11:21:53 AM
Does anyone know what the attack power of a ship should be vs the listed fleet power in planet missions/encryption missions/ reaver fights?
Assumptions:
Accuracy 20% from the comp and 40% from the guns.
3hp to 1attack ration
53% shields

I have a some 102,487,150 attack ships taking on the ~15M missions successfully so far.  Is this over-kill or am I about to get into trouble.

Please move this to the missions forum if that is the better place.

The fleet power doesn't really matter. It's how you design the ship. If it has a high atk, your fp will be a lot higher than a balanced ship. And If the calc thing is on (which I don't completely get, i think this is how it works) then you run into stroner fleets and might lose your ship. I think the ship you have now is a bit overkill, but it's what you fell comfortable with when checking the dmg to your ships
