Forum - Space Odyssey MMORPG - a massive free online space game

Ok there seems to be an intrest for this, and the people in charge of the history section dont seem to hve time.   I have thus come up with an Idea to assist them.  For all that believe someone aside from yourself belongs in the Noteworthy or legendary commanders list please submit thier name here, and at brief descritpion as to why you believe they should be here, what badge you believe they deserve in accordance with the badges listed on the legendary commanders list.  I will then do some more research upon this and submit my findings.  I will get together with others of the current legendary list and noteworthy list as I can and with the creater of the list and will deside in our opinion what and who we beleive deserve to put listed as a legendary commader or a noteworthy commader.  There will be a place for imfamous commanders seperate from this.

Thank you gunfighter, this will actually help me out a lot. If it was the summer I wouldn't have any problems making a list, but it's in the middle of the school year, and I'm swamped with homework, so no time. This will allow me to easily create and modify the list as needed.

Since I'm the one running the list, I shall refrain from any sort of nomination, as it would be biased.

ill nominate FTP, hes a veteran player, and a good designer, who consistantly does well, and is almost always in in top 10 for most of the round.

I would like to nominate law because he's a veteran player, he leads one of the oldest alliances and has lead his alliance to top 10 in halls of glory since the records began of alliances in the halls of glory

I wanna nominate FTP aswell 'cus since the moment he started playing this game he managed to get his alliance always in the top 10, and for being a veteran player of course, and staying/ending in the top 10 for 2 rounds :)

i second this statement it tales real skill to get top ten alliance each round and yet not make top ten commander rank, showing great leader ship and that his alliance is well led

chicpea and the darkness for their website and helping others, as well as chic for maxing out, and the darkness for choosing not to max out.

ummm actally i would nomiante Argus, he mastered the game quickly and is a great player

I am not entirely sure I am allowed to nominate anyone, me being a big bad legend, but I think A^Bloody^Idiot would be a good candidate. He is rising like a rocket, and I am trying my best to keep up, but I simply cant figure out a way to do any better than what i am already doing.
Sets me back to when I was trying to play catchup with Wizard of War and Lightseeker, and I could slowly catch up with light... but no matter what i tried, Wizard of War was just kept being better and faster.
So... for reminding outdoing me completely and leaving me in the dark as to how, I hereby nominate ABI.

i would like to nominate Chicpea and TheDarkness since they've helped many members in their alliances and they helped me also. without their help, i would rarely use the missions since all ships i have would be swarmers, bad designed systems in them >.< but now i'm doing much better

although he has hit me a few times in a bounty he has still led his alliance into the top ten since the begining of alliances :), i checked to make sure, and lead it there not through increaseing his power like some of the other top ten alliances, but through overall alliance member power

ok people lets get this straight.  I like him is not a reason for a noteworthy or legendary commader. and since that is mostly what I see here I want a detailed description of what makes these commaders noteworthy or legendary.  This is not a popularty contest persay but a place to show commanders of note and legendary status.   What have these people done that makes them noteworthy or legendary????

I would nominate midnight44, He's been there to help me since I have started playing this game, He's a great leader and always kept AL2 in the top 10 since it was born seems to be around when I need to ask him for advice or extra help. He has designed some good ships that work well.  Taught me the basics and complex parts of the game to be a legendary player. And since he taught me those things I have been in the top 10 1 week after the round started. He has also came up with some great ideas to improve the game. And helped others to improve there ideas as well.

If this isn't legendary status, then people definetly pick sides as to who is the best.

ha ha smee, i dont get high ranks beacuse i rather fight wars and mabey lose ships than just grow, i would probaly be up with all thosue people at 70-100 bil power right now if i wasnt always fighting so much, sorry if i choose war over rank... im one of the only ones to do that...

Well I will have to nominate Lammalord.  reason one He has kept his position in the top 10 for quit awhile all the while attacking any all he thinks he can get away with it.  Reason two.  He has been around a long time and has helped many people with his alts. Reason three he is one of the most well known in the game, be it as a hated foe or as an ally.  He has been sancentioned a few times and found many bugs. Like him or not this is worthy of at least noteworthy status, maybe even legendary status.

i second lamma cuz without him teaching me. i would be no where this round. i've managed to stay in the top 10 for most of the round and without argus would have held first place for more than a day. this is my first round and as people can see i have learned alot in such a short time. i still have alot more to learn tho. but it was all cuz of lammalord.

I third lamma!  Very good commander, and quick to get up there.  As far as i can tell, in the last three weeks, (maybe more, that fourth was the time i wasn't really here) lamma hasn't gone down at all.

If we could nominate more than one commander, I'd nominate Nich D. Wolfwood.
I mean, when I first came back to SpaceO with the zephyrblade account, he seemed to be up the top (or near) all the time.

my alliance has never been in the top 10 in end game
ive only been in the top 10 rankings twice but never in end game

You know what, Smee . . . I'll give you that nomination of noteworthy commander status.

I will nominate you for enstilling fear in others while your alliance was on a roll the first round I joined. Your alliance is the first alliance I joined and the ONLY alliance I have been kicked out of.

While, granted, yes I did end up triumphant over your alliance, you still held the alliance together for the most part until you started disbanding everyone. Either way, enstilling fear on your enemies and holding an alliance together is a challange in and of itself, especially in an unstable enviornment that was once a reality in Space Odyssey

I'll second Smee's nomination, and I think there is enough info here for me to compile a newer, more accurate legendary commander list, so once it's unlocked, I'll get to work on editing everything and creating the true accurate list.

I'd appreciate if anyone who posts from now on would post their personal top ten legendary commander's list, as I will us it to determine the order the commanders are put on.

good luck with that, trying to be a thorn in my side, unfortunatly, even with ur skill, i don't think u could be so much more than a small splinter to me, i've had practice (i have lived with my brother the 11 years of his life, and he gives me such a hard time)

lol, nicholas. You'll definitely be on the list, it just may be as a noteworthy commander since you haven't been here in AGES (I know, not your fualt, but I do have to be fair and consider time as a factor, otherwise the list wouldn't be current (though my list is very old at this moment, lol)

Well, I am back and I am working to stay a legend even though it's set that I am a legend already reguardless of weither or not I am on a list or not. People still remember and fear me lol

Well, it does matter what others think of you...I mean if some noob went around saying he was legendary and thought he was the best, it doesn't mean that he is...what would mean he is the best is if everyone agreed on it.  :14:

What he means is, you don't acturly need a legendairy commander list, 'cus all the active people who play this game, already know who is legendairy, I mean, (almost) everybody knows lightseeker is legendairy, not 'cus he is in this list, but 'cus he is like always in the top 10 :14:

You know for yourself who are legendairy, you don't need a list for that, you decide for yourself who is legendairy and who is not...
For instance: for some bigbroni is legendairy, but others don't think that at all, they think he's a total "bad word" :sweat and others didn't knew him :)

Yeah, but who would know that Nicholas D. Wolfwood was aggressive and that Lightseeker_Eu was passive? who would know of the war between LOI and NAW, etc. Hall of Glory just shows who came out on top.

Leggendairy commander list is just a list of players with rewards... not wars between G Unit and DDD or NAW and LOI or whatever...
And just ask around, and you'll know...
And you really think all the old players will quit the game, and Emi will just run the game and only new players will play it... no.. some day Emi will stop the game aswell...

Btw. the war between LOI and NAW was nothing...
I mean, the time when I went beserk, every1 forgot about that aswell, although I zeroed 30 ppl, made over 10 heavy attacks, and just 2 failed attacks...
And then I wasn't even hitted back hard, only by midnight (at which the attack failed, since he only had powerships), and Nicholas...

Every1 forgot about the time Duo Barton was hunting, every1 forgot about Eberon, most of the peeps don't even know who he is...
most don't know who Wizard of War is, most don't know how the TH used to be...

All those things already all of them changed and are forgotten...
It's not like Spaceo has a huge history, but the important stuff are forgotten by most peeps, and just let it behind, if you wanna start 1 now.. you're TOO late...

And if you wanna create 1, don't let somebody who has chosen a side create 1...
You might think Midnight deserves to be in it, others don't (I don't know if you do, but it's just an example), wanna create 1? let it be done by sum1 who's been here for a LONG time, and you know who can be trusted, and who has the time for it... and doesn't chose sides...

Just using that war as an example...I could list some from last year, but most people wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about.

Good point Banger, another part of it is renown -- I mean if someone says Lightseeker, you immediately know what their talking about. If someone says ownzor, you say ...?

Thxs for the compliment banger but i think I'm far from legendary noteworthy or even well know  :sweat...I haven't even made a top ten finish yet (maybe i could have but got Zeroed twice) ,but yeah maybe I'll try harder this round to get better as a overall player and well know  :P...

 :)) yeah nightshadow trained me before i ever got in WOS. my first couple months playing he kicked my butt all over the galaxy  :4: hi !!! really taught me alot. but to start a list you need someone on it. i vote to put Midnight44 on the list. everybody flys his ships and long after he is gone(i hope never!) commanders will be cloning his ships or at least see them everywhere they go. lots of top players have learned from him. he is hated and loved and feared. #1 on the list has to be Midnight44!! to be legandary has to include a wide variety of categories but one person who stands out in all of them has to be Midnight44!!! :thumbsup:

well id like to say loi as a whole were beyond me and they are all legendary as a collective unit ive taken out my share of alliances in the past but i couldnt take out loi congrats guys

davey i would put you on the list with mid for sure!! you fought with great courage and stood your ground when everyone around you and allied with you left. i dont know if you design ships but to say that you are one of the best players of this game i think alot of people would agree!!! has a list even been started? we need to start a nomination process first right? and decide how many categories with the first one being overall SO legend. then maybe most hated? frank and others that have been around since the begining might suggest some names alot of us wont know so it might be helpful to have a committee like most awards have so some of the commanders that helped build SO dont get left out.
