Title: Minimum Standards
Post by: Chronos on July 18, 2006, 02:11:58 PM
You know, it'd be nice if we could get some minimum standards or specifications for recruitment posts in here. You know, so all the useful ads aren't all drowned out by posts like:

Quote
h3ll0!!! my clan suxxxors does any1 w4nt to j0in?

Of course, I'm exaggerating. But it still would be nice for more of the threads to actually be useful.

It doesn't have to be rigerous or anything. Just enough to make sure they actually post some information in here. Like, I don't know, a one sentence or so description on the clans goals/ambitions, their standings in regards to DDay, and what it takes to join their clan.

Anyways, just a suggestion.

I read the Suggestions board description and it said that it was for suggestions regarding the game. Sense this suggestion did not regard the game, I thought it improper to put there.

Regardless, it is a suggestion, let us discuss it.

the forum is part of the game. and as for what to post, it's common sense, and no one seems to have that, so why would they bother to READ a guideline for what can/can't beposted, they don't read the guidline on WHERE to post NOW, so no point in wasting effort on it.

There is some middle ground between smart and n00bish.

But, still, it gives moderators explicit authority to delete these useless posts in an otherwise alright message board. I mean, right now, the board feels like it's getting spamminated.

It IS getting spamminated with advertisement and...spam spam. The problem is, there is no way to control it other then to throw it at the recycle bin. Just because we make a guidelone doesn't mean it'll stop...however, I will begin to start on one, just so we have one.
