Forum - Space Odyssey MMORPG - a massive free online space game

Hi all,

I dunno if this has been suggested but the tutorial is too vague. There's not enough detailed explanation of how to use all the screens. It's hard for some of us newbies because lots have been playing long enough to have worked it all out & to them it's simple. There doesn't appear to be a HELP function (if there is, please slap me & call me blind). If there IS a guide or something posted elsewhere, it might be a good idea to put that somewhere in the main interface. I'm not whinging, but I feel that for this game to grow & develop a larger client base, you guys need to put a little more into the "self-help" aspect for new players. It also reduces your workload when newbies jump on here & start screaming "HELLLLLPPP!!! I can't find xxxxxx!"  :P

I actually agree that the tutorial should be upgraded, as a lot of new players won't have the awesomeness to come onto he forum and post that they are having trouble learning, they will just quit and never play again....

Anyways, I will volunteer to help update the wikis/guide, and maybe add in some SO WARS/ELITE stuff if other people are willing to chip in with SO MAIN. I realize ELITE just came out, but it's relatively simple  :P

I could also add in a guide on designing some ships, and throw in a few designs, if you guys would like.

I'd be glad to help improve some stuff also.

I did find the Guide/Wiki & it explained things in more depth.

I also realise that all the admin on this game is done by volunteer players & can appreciate your enthusiasm for improving the game. Plus the time commitment.

I do think this game has a LOT of potential to be one of the great MMORPGs. It kinda fires the imagination.

I do believe that this game is continually evolving & that much more will be added to expand the help database over time :)

I think you'll have to talk to SnipeDragon about changing it. Most people are just too lazy to put in profile info though

Yeah, if EVERY profile was updated with an m for male or an f for female, grond would prolly get a b for both :P

To get back on topic if any of you that seem willing to write a new guide for SpaceO do so. You can possible get it implemented by Sir Emi at the very least you can post it to the forums.

As to the wiki if the bot activity is anything like it was there is no point in posting anything there. It will be defaced quickly by a bot.

Find me a suitable place to post...I will get a 5-6 part guide to success in WARS going :P
