Title: DDAY requirements Post by: SirEmi on June 23, 2006, 06:28:55 PM Due to excess noobs commanders joining DDAY, I have set new requirements to be fair to everyone, and added a note to explain DDAY in the DDAY room.
To join, you will require a minimum power of 35 mil, and be in the Top 200 commanders. This will ensure 10% of the most powerful commanders will start DDAY and not someone with many alts. The other 90%'s job is to stop them, as always. P.S.: Bah... :( the researchers will need to re-join... God Speed! Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: Lammalord on June 23, 2006, 06:38:02 PM yay! thank god i was begging to think that them noobs were actally going to start dday! :S this will make the game last just as long as it used to, thanks so much emi!
Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: Ricu on June 23, 2006, 06:42:50 PM I still think top 100 should be better :P or at least when they join they need to have some fleet power to . not just hand creds , and if they get theyr fleets destroyed they need to resuply them with at least the same amount as minimum required and should be given a few hours to resuply ,if they fail they will be kicked out and dday closes.
anyway it stil lis an improvement. Nice work L:) Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: FTP on June 23, 2006, 06:44:34 PM So now you could kick ppl out of doomday if enough ppl buy ships and jump over mroe power then they have :P
Cool thx Emi Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: Seither on June 23, 2006, 06:55:54 PM yes, this does add that little hitch to it, but the top 200 is fine Ricu, there are easily that many players active, the top 100 would cause the round to be incredibly long. But here is what the description says for those who wish to see it and haven't done so already:
Note: You will need at least 35.000.000 power and a Top 200 position before you can join. After 20 researchers join, there is a 24 hours warning period, when the researchers can be attacked with no limits. If they are not stoped, DDAY will start. DDAY lasts for 24 hours, and all commanders can attack / be attacked. When DDAY is over, you will still have your fleet and system designs, however all resources will be se to 0, and everyone will have a fair start on the new round. Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: Lammalord on June 27, 2006, 05:13:47 PM i soy some1 with 89mil power on dday! isnt the top 200 still a min of like 360mil power, hay i have alts i should know... but in that case i now thing though this is an ausome update for me: that 200 isnt enough... top 200 are usally most the ppl against dday beacuse there doing fairly well... mabey balance it out so that the number is in the "noob" zone but isnt all the players that are doing so good that dday will never start... mabey like top 300 or top 400 (not sure what 400 is... i know that top 300 is still like 160mil power)... just putting that out there...

Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: FOO on June 29, 2006, 02:53:29 PM :12: :12: :12:
Just like the donations, D Day should be based relative to the fleet power of the highest ranked person. Otherwise you end up with D-Day being promoted by disgruntled people who dont have thesavy to challenge the higher ranks, and hope to end the roundbecause they cant figure out how to play the game :12: :12: :12: Title: Re: DDAY requirements Post by: Lammalord on June 29, 2006, 11:40:59 PM ya i see 89mil is 200th ya thats fine, i geuss when i cheaked it was messed up, scared me when 300th place said it was like 300mil power :p
