Title: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: SirEmi on August 05, 2010, 07:58:34 PM We have some updates to improve game play in the Galaxy attacks: - Galaxy combat receives a full assault counter if: -> a station is warped / destroyed -> a planet is attacked and loses 3% or more of it's colonists, and a minimum loss of 3.000.000.000 colonists - Covert Ops: -> one can not capture more then 5% of his total assets (value of ships, credits, workers, colonists, etc.) in credits & item value -> so if a high power player destroyed a station of a lower player and the lower player takes a covert ops counter, he will do the full damage but the credits captured depends on his total assets and can not exceed 5% of the total assets he has. Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: Spayed on August 06, 2010, 01:33:43 AM you have not explained what these counters mean. the benifits of them? are they for others stations and planets or for the commander himself.??
Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: TNTTony on August 06, 2010, 04:12:52 AM Can I just clarify something?
If I am trying to take over someone's planet and I attack the planet 10 times, and the attacks fulfilled the criteria for counter, will I get 10 counters on me? If so, won't this update make taking planet even harder? Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: SirEmi on August 06, 2010, 08:57:46 AM you have not explained what these counters mean. the benifits of them? are they for others stations and planets or for the commander himself.?? The owner of the destroyed / warped station or the attacked planet gets the counters. If you attack a planet multiple times and kill 3% of the colonists each time using the Raid Colonists or Conquer you may end up leaving a bunch of counters behind yeah. It's harder for big players to abuse small players in the Galaxy now. Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: Sostesteg on August 06, 2010, 02:25:48 PM except for the fact that a counter from a small person to a very big person would be almost worthless...
Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: Zan on August 06, 2010, 08:10:10 PM that's why you can do covert ops. And covert ops can destroy a lot of assets from big players whilst the small players won't benefit that much from the covert ops since its nerfed :D

Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: Fester on August 10, 2010, 09:00:47 AM Correct me if I'm wrong, but the counter seems to be a full assault counter, pointless if the person who killed your station is 4556% more powerful than you, if however you take his stations do they also get the full assault counter, thats scarey.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the counter seems to be a full assault counter, pointless if the person who killed your station is 4556% more powerful than you, if however you take his stations do they also get the full assault counter, thats scarey It's useful if you use the "Covert Ops" attack. It hurts the player who attacked and doesn't cost you much. Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: Spayed on August 11, 2010, 01:45:38 AM so you have effectively nullified and galaxy attacking for a strategy to weaken your enemies. the risk is now far to great...
Congrats on the fast becoming 2nd PVE server guys :D Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: TNTTony on August 11, 2010, 04:05:15 AM Well, after having my planet conquered by MJ (well done by the way :19:) I was left with about 8 counters. I didn't have much choice:
1. I had enough money on hand to Kami all his ships. However, MJ would get most of that back due to salvage and Marines going back to secret base. Plus since I did not have a planet there was no point in wasting money. 2. Use covert op. My 1st one I gathered intelligence and found his secret base had quite a bit of money. However, with all my counters he just managed to lose just under 100 tril credits. Please note this is how much he lost and not how much I received.I received just under 10 tril 0o this is really small change for MJ In other words, if a player is much higher than you, the counters won't have an impact. However, if the players are at the same level then maybe ... maybe it may have a use. I thought I let everyone know how this implementation is going Title: Re: Galaxy counters for station & planet assault Post by: Spayed on August 11, 2010, 05:54:57 AM your ruining my rant mate :D
