Title: For the love of god add counters when your stations get blown up!

Honestly it does not makes sense why there are no counters for when your stations get attacked and destroyed. I cant keep up with the donaters as they always do enough damage to destroy all my stations and make me halt. even at 1.75TRIL hp 1bil defence, 25%abs and bobo is still woopin ass.

its a piss off thats for sure

I definately agree that there needs to be counters for station/planetary attacks.  the higher people can go around destroying everybody (i know some people who get their stations blown up every 2 days) and the destroyed people have no chance of getting back at them.

I think it would be nice to have them.
Also Lavis I would like to point out that cloaking is better than def, hp, and abs. mods for protecting your station and mining facility.

The only concern reguarding cloaking, is that the higher level players will always be able to keep ahead of your cloak, so you end up spending all your research to defend yourself, leaving you even further behind... and still with your station in a million fragments.

Yes which is exactly the problem...  Because at the moment there is no way to stop it.  However if the attacking of the station left a counter, then you could at least inflict some damage on them too.  Take bobo on main right now.  if station counters were in the game, bobo would have had at least like 150 covert ops on him by now, which could be a good 100 bil or so.

counters we don't needs no stinkin counters  :D  and it wasn't like i went through the whole galaxy blowing up every station i saw was more like 90% of the galaxy and over 300 stations in 2 days  kboom ok maybe i went a bit overboard  :bash: but d**n it was fun making history for most destruction in a 2 day period in spaceo history that early in the ound i mean  :jerry:

Actually Darth, it has been done before. A few rounds back Fender did exactly the same thing as you, and MJ has been known to cruise the galaxy destroying everything he see's.
Maybe another option is to have different forms of counters depending on what gets attacked.
A station attack could just get a standard counter, maybe slightly different to ship attack in that you dont get any of the counter bonuses... Just a free attack.
A planetary counter could be if colonists are captured, one of them could get information out, informing the defendant of a location of a planet or fleet set up.
Planets conquered, could give full counter option, maybe even longer than normal.... say 36 hours.

There is a middle ground. If you just simply get your cloaking high enough to be above the masses, yet still below the top players, your stations will last much - MUCH longer... For instance, last round a cloak of about 15 would have made you safe from all but 3 or 4 players... of which you must consider 2 of them didnt even hit stations last round... so just raise your cloak high enough above the masses, but not so high that you are set back by it.  B-)
Also, you can track a players progress around the galaxy. Once you get your cloaking above the masses, you track the players' progress that you know is after your stations, and you place them in a quadrant that he/she just finished ravaging... You will have a solid few days before he/she makes their way back to that area...
I am not telling any more of my lavished strategies and tactics, but seriously people. Use your freaking heads.

I prefer my current method of having cloaking well above bobo and mj :)

Unfortunately, its the people who have scanners more than lvl 15 that go after my stations! so might as well save the research and just rebuild.

just go get lvl 100 cloak sat and you will be safe :D
