Recent apocalyptic events have created a new planet that is unlike any other.

The planet is called "Pandora" and is located at HJE-545 - Upsilon Serpentis

Pandora is an evil and unwanted place, but it has a natural environment with those bonuses:
+500% capacity, 0% mining, +300% credits, +300% combat

The planet belongs to The Orions for the moment, the ancient lost race but it can be conquered by the players.

The planet is unique in the Galaxy.

i wont be able to do anything with it, but i like the idea. interesting.

can we expect to see something like this in future round as well, or is this a one- time only sort of thing?

don't like this.. admins or game makers shouldn't step in the game too much.. this could change how the top 10 would have been

I don't think it should have been added mid-round like this but overall the idea is interesting.

also this was akrans old planet that chicken took if i am correct... this planet should either be chickens or should be akrans and chicken and mj gave all their creds back from the raid... this is a stupid fix to a problem that should have never been a problem... either someone obviously cheated and should have been dealt with or someone got their planet taken away and tough crap

the planet is formilly arkan777's planet that i took and gave up  but i might take it again just for the hell of it  :12:

and we were given our creds and turns back in return for the planet. but instead of having dealt with a arkan we now have to do it all over again and he now knows so we are the ones at a disadvantage as he will have moved his cloak higher and increased his combat.

its still a dumb situation.. why was the planet given back and the turns and creds returned?

i wont to know if the planet is conquered will it retain it's current cap and all it current tech if so it would be worth my time to take. :21:

Yes I can answer this. This planet is a landmark, a unique planet type to mark the spot of a great battle. It doesn't belong to anyone at the moment, and credits are piling up on it. The planet has some very unique features as you may have noticed.

If you conquer it, it will lose some capacity due to the conquer, but it has some structures that you can capture and the natural unique bonus of +500% capacity, +300% credits, +300% combat.

It will retain it's natural bonus, and on top you can add your "Habitat Improvement" and your own structures but the "Pandora" tech is not available so you'll always have level 1. On a Gaia for example, you get +20% cap / mining / cred and -30% combat for each level. If you have 10x Gaia levels of tech you get +200% cap / mining / credits and -300% combat if you want to compare.

And yes, this planet will pop out somewhere in the Galaxy during each round, so the one holding it may have some advantage over the others, so I expect great battles to take this planet. If you take this planet and fortify it with bases / system fleets it would be a VERY hard to conquer Pandora.

You can not terraform or change the name of Pandora... it's rather unique :)

We can't get something similar on Wars can we?

Having something like this on wars would only work against the changes Emi made to slow down maxing there so can't see it happening really.

well not really. as its never gonna stay in one hand for long so chances of ppl maxing because of this are pretty low.

add it on wars  :D

yeah but lower the bonuses a decent bit. also add multiple ones..and you'd have to wait until top ten has planet tech..

WHAT!!! no :P if u have multiples ones that u might as well not have any for all the good they'll do and increasing bonuses increases the incentive to get it so will increase pvp :P

those bonuses are too high, lol. and i mean like 1-2 with how big our galaxy is. i don't have the cp for planet tech though so seems like a bad time to implement  :P

I took this planet, and comparing it to my Giai planet at around the same population i got it to 2q pop, its making alot less:(

I have traveled practically the ENTIRE universe this round already and havent seen it....

It does not spawn at the start of the round. Sir Emi will add it at some point during the round.

Nah nobodys a real good player. Nobody can get pandora

based on that principle, you might as well quit... there is a lot of stuff only big players can do... its a bigger part of the game than you might think. solution: be a "really good player"  :12:

essentially to fix the problem, EVERYBODY needs to be a "relly good player" which will essentially mkae NOBODY a "really good player" therefore the game is doomed!

suppose this is a silly question as we dont get any updates but is this coming on pve as well hope to hear in 6 months or so
