Title: system attacks Post by: Borg! on April 03, 2010, 04:02:20 PM They should give counters.
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Fester on April 03, 2010, 06:47:45 PM If you mean attacks on stations/mines, absolutely yes!
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on April 03, 2010, 06:55:37 PM If you mean attacks on stations/mines, absolutely yes! What about planet attacks?Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Borg! on April 03, 2010, 11:28:10 PM i believe a planet is a system
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Spayed on April 04, 2010, 12:47:22 AM huh?
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: J-Bomb on April 04, 2010, 02:08:08 AM argee that should be done
If you mean attacks on stations/mines, absolutely yes! that be good Title: Re: system attacks Post by: V on April 04, 2010, 10:55:36 AM i think planet = planet... star/system/facility/station = station+mining facility typically...
... I could be wrong Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Borg! on April 04, 2010, 01:14:19 PM aye i was inferring mining facilities, stations, and planet attacks should leave counters
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Fester on April 04, 2010, 01:22:22 PM nice to see an authentic pirate "aye" in that sentence arrr
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: clouthour on April 04, 2010, 04:16:00 PM nice to see an authentic pirate "aye" in that sentence arrr lol true, true :) :D Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Spayed on April 04, 2010, 11:58:39 PM why should they give counters?
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Fester on April 06, 2010, 10:57:00 AM Because the last automated transmission from the station (or any other system/facility) details the attack vector plus the composition of the engaged fleets, hence a signature is available to be traced allowing a counter attack to be launched.
Thats the "story" logic behind it and it would be useful would be my reason B-) Title: Re: system attacks Post by: SirEmi on April 07, 2010, 02:33:59 AM An interesting idea.
I guess if the station is destroyed, or if a planet losses 3% or more of it's population it could give a full assault counter... I'll look into it, thank you. Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Spayed on April 07, 2010, 06:27:50 AM what use is a full assault counter when they always warp??
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Fester on April 07, 2010, 11:13:02 AM Slightly off topic question, do attacks on systems/facilities have an impact on reputation and are mine killers likely to end up on the bounty list?
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: SirEmi on April 09, 2010, 02:18:59 PM Slightly off topic question, do attacks on systems/facilities have an impact on reputation and are mine killers likely to end up on the bounty list? Destroying a station / mining facility may affect the rep a bit, but clearing system fleets wouldn't... Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Spayed on April 09, 2010, 10:26:45 PM its virtually impossible to get a negative rep like it used to be. takes out the surprise of a bounty attack :(
Title: Re: system attacks Post by: Lammalord on April 10, 2010, 07:07:41 AM its virtually impossible to get a negative rep like it used to be. takes out the surprise of a bounty attack :( well we remembered what happened when you could get negative rep... yah, i think LOI placed first that round and only got their workers reset... |
