Title: How to start a round in Main Post by: mikael roy on December 01, 2009, 08:12:54 PM I was wondering if anyone had a tutorial on how to start a round in main. It would benefit everyone. For the lasts rounds I tried getting segs in extend operations and the getting money from them. I worked but I lost about 20,000turns doing that to gain around 200,000,000$.

You have to do missions, incursion, pvp or mining the choice is yours but you must invest your time.

Title: Re: How to start a round in Main Post by: baltic on December 02, 2009, 10:34:59 AM i just returned to the game but i've already established my opinion on the best start i know of atm. next round i'll do it...anyway for me it's buy 2x 5 mil ships, 1 in each fleet (i've tested my 5mils, done 1,2mil fp with them and they're 157k fp together, under 500k fp is no risk at all). then wait for an incursion and beat up aliens without having to move around wasting turns until i have multi and pinpoint probes. then start hunting aliens with them while researching space station and mining facility with the money i make. will try to do bounties at the same time to get my commander level up (CP). with a lot of luck i might get bonus CP from the votes in the start too, that would be awesome...anyway when i have a few 100mil and the research for station & facility completed i'll take out reavers with swarmer fleets and mine the resources, find a location for the station and set it up.
the next day after i should have the money for 2 ships able to do encounters and i'd keep hunting aliens, encounters and bounties while researching the next space station & facility.
