Title: Tropico 3 Post by: Chronos on October 28, 2009, 07:10:41 PM Hellos, I'm still alive.
Anyways, I just thought I would enlighten you all about Tropico 3 (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/tropico3/index.html). It's a remake of the original Tropico (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/tropico/index.html), which just happens to be one of my most favorite city-building sims of all time. You play the newly in-charge dictator of a tropical island in the Caribbean. It's the height of the Cold War, and you have to balance relations with the U.S. and U.S.S.R. all while turning your island into a profitable industrial/agricultural/tourist paradise and, most importantly, staying in power. I highly suggest the game. A little warning though: I heard Tropico 3 has a bit of a learning curve if you haven't played any of the previous incarnations. You really should think about getting this game. And, you know, while you're at it, why not just pick up Tropico: Reloaded (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/tropicoreloaded/index.html), as well? You'd really be doing yourself a favor. Title: Re: Tropico 3 Post by: hyperion on October 29, 2009, 08:06:50 AM Quick question: Can you get invaded?
Title: Re: Tropico 3 Post by: Chronos on October 29, 2009, 11:58:50 AM If you really piss off the U.S. or U.S.S.R., you will be.
Spoiler alert: You won't win. Title: Re: Tropico 3 Post by: hyperion on October 29, 2009, 12:16:13 PM Woohoo!
PS: You won't. Title: Re: Tropico 3 Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on October 29, 2009, 11:51:58 PM So your in charge of a dictatorship and you cant use a covert war to take over the USSR or USA?
Not for me..... Title: Re: Tropico 3 Post by: Chronos on October 30, 2009, 03:32:41 AM Well, I guess you could grow a lot of tobacco and try to give them all lung cancer.
