Title: A question about segment Post by: tip on June 05, 2009, 03:05:13 AM Sorry for this 3rd message.
Often when others attacked me, they grabbed away a lot of segments, like hundreds of segments in one grab. But when I retaliate, I only grab back 2 or 3 segments. Why is that? Title: Re: A question about segment Post by: TNTTony on June 05, 2009, 03:07:35 AM The amount of segs you get is dependent on:
1. How many total segs they have. 2. How much power you destroy eg. Killing pships (more than 20%) gives you more than if you board someone mains (without pships) 3. How many ships are left in battle after combat. Title: Re: A question about segment Post by: Spayed on June 05, 2009, 09:55:37 PM also on the type of attack, you get more segs from a board attack then you do from a regular attack.
Title: Re: A question about segment Post by: KenquinnTheInsaneOne on June 05, 2009, 10:38:18 PM I'm pretty sure it just based off of how many ships you attack with... There is a ratio between the number of segs your opponent has and the number of ships you attack with. It peaks off at x% of there segs capped per attack.

Title: Re: A question about segment Post by: Chronos on June 05, 2009, 11:30:12 PM I can vouch that boarding attacks provide more segments than regular attacks. At least they did a couple years ago.
Title: Re: A question about segment Post by: Jan`go Vhett on June 05, 2009, 11:50:57 PM You need 1 ship for every 100 segs to capture the maximum amount of segs.
For a regular full assault you can take 10% of their segs and for regular remote assault you can take 5%. For a board full assault you can take 20% of their segs and for a board remote assault you can take 10%.
