It's easy to set up alts and attack people without having been traced.

By using proxy.

There are a lot of public proxies in existence, and in fact, there are people who compile proxy lists and put it up on the Net for all to use.

If a Vet wants to attack noobs with his multiple alts, he could have used the proxies.

Login with account 1, use proxy 1, attack, logoff.

Change to proxy 2. Login to account 2. Attack again. Logoff.

Change to proxy 3. Login to account 3. Attack again. Logoff.

Even if it's the work of the SAME PERSON, it would be very difficult to know since all the 3 logins are from different IPs.

This is my first post in the forum.
I can answer your question with my personal experience.

Normally our God, who named Emi, will have his way to trace who really abuse the TOC.
He will trace your account login timing, what action have you done and compare the action timing.

Example, a player login account 1, start his attack, then login account 2 and attack again.
This consider abuse of TOC.

Alt, well, it is not an evil, as long as the player doesn't use multiple account to attack you
at the same time, he got nothing wrong to have alt.

Veteran used alt to help those noobies to clear reavers, doing revenge or spying around.
This is their way to play the game.

This is a war game, you also won't like to see a dead server without any attacking at all.

This game consider quite hard for newbies, you have to learn how to protect yourself.
Try login everyday to check your account status, is it being attack and protected in nebula or etc.
Resupply power ship and make sure it can bring you to nebula once it blows.

Do revenge by using the counter attack, or just ignore it if you think you can't get anything from
the attacker. These are commonly what you can get from a counter attack:

1) Blow all the attacker ship and you feel really happy.
2) Capture the attacker ship if you have really good luck and strategy.
3) Get some segments from the attacker.
4) Get some salvage by blowing the attacker ship.

Attacking using proxy won't make the attacker safe to have multiple attack.
All activity will be logged by server, the attacker will be heavily finded. (If you make a report)
