I think -first of all there should be a ship anti marine weapon.... (like the death ray from master of orion 2)
-second marines should be movable i.e your get a new ship and want to transfer the marines from the old one.
-third the mothership should act as a reserve post for marines, so that your ship can resupply without taking money or when your out of money.
-fourth marines still on a dieing ship should be able to use esacape pods to move to a remining ship after combat - if mothership is there then marines would board that instead..
-err the one after 4 (how do you spell 5 as a rth)a system that inscreases the defense rating of marines. like the computer does for acc and def.. could be called war room, security station etc etc..

these are idea's ive had about marines while playing this game ( its good by the way)

The easy one first, 5th is spelt fifth  :19:

Marines are in effect movable, when you sell a ship that is marined a significant (I'm not sure if 100%) of the cost of the marines is returned to you allowing you to reinvest this in marines for the newer ship. Most people have a line of battle between 3 and 5 ships deep. When they buy a new lead then they sell the tail ship.

When you loose marines to attacks by other players they are automatically resupplied as long as you have credits available, in effect this acts as a ready reserve.

Not sure about the escape pod idea, knowing some of the people that play this game they would capture and enslave anyone in an escape pod  :wow:

The shield abs % also act as personal shields for marines so this can be increased using commander points.

I can't say I like the idea of a ship anti marine weapon, you have one already and it is called your marines.

Jess says you get 100% back from marines so hope that clears that part of it uhe anti-marine weaponp.
As for the anti-marine weapon I agree with Kellarn.
