i think we need to get more ppl playing and upgrading to gold cuz most ppl join then leave then just go so y don 't we get them to get gold lol we should get more of our friends to upgrade :wow: :2:

How about if Emi gives everyone a months' free gold account trial after 2 months active playing?   That would give new people an incentive to play longer than a few days/weeks and show them what they'd be missing. Even a week would be better than nothing.

1 week when they start would solve a load of problems.

new players can use good designs and not worry about designing ships for a bit and they will get to a faster start

Hm, an interesting idea... I will consider one or two weeks of Gold status to new players but maybe limit the number of ships they can clone to 5 ships... This would ensure that they can get a good ship design if they lose their Trainee fleet.

Well if it is non-transferable then it wouldn't really work to cheat. Then they can make as many accounts as they want to get it but it would only work on that one account.

agreed. i brought this idea up about a month ago. a week free gold, non-transferable, limiting the amount of cloneable designs would be okay

What I got is:

- 7 days of free Gold
- non-transferable
- can not upload custom avatar
- max clone 3 designs
- doesn't have access to upgrades database

Well from my point of view from someone who doesn't have a gold account, that seems fine to me.  It gives new players a chance to see the difference in designs and hopefully make it easier to learn the basics of ship designing.   
Something is always better than nothing. The 3 design uploads should surfice as they can clone the essential type of ship to get you on your way... ie. a mission, a swarmer and a powership.

max clone 3 designs isn't enough. 3 designs from watch and learn isn't enough to learn how to design a super. and what if they clone bad designs?

id say at least 5 designs, we can work from there

I agree with Jess. 3 designs isn't enough. 5 at least more would probably be better. But either way Emi I want to thank you for actually looking at and responding to this post.

ok since they will be limited in the number of designs maybe we should start a new section in the forum dedicated to ship suggestions and provide a forum link in the beginner totural. :21:

a system for grading other designs would be good as well. maybe u can get like 1% off the cost of the cloned design if you rate it, a small incentive but at least its something.

Hmm, I can just imagine hundreds of people giving bunk ratings just for the discount.

this is good that emi is doing this but i think that all inactive accounts should be notified then deleted because i see all these numbers and it boars me to death i love so i want to have fun but noobs thinking there hot stuff know little and then are stupid and ask wat should i do. lol the list of thing i can think of is long but emi is da boss and he/she says wat gose

emi i had trouble sending myself 2 dollars credits from my phone can u fix that cuz i sine up then when it says "we have sent you a text reply ok to this number" it dosent work for me lol can u help

Hm, they have fixed amounts in there, maybe it was too low an amount or something. They just automatically notify us if it goes trough...

well with Australian dollar that's a problem can u have a option in gold upgrade or donations that you have a Australian dollar pulse we have gone into a slump Australia because the share market is down and we have no money :21: lol in Australia our dollar is 68cents

it would also be a nice idea in my opinion to begine removing the accounts that are inactive, in another game i play they remove non upgradeds in i think 60 days of inactivity, and 120 days if yer upgraded, this will get rid of alot dead players

yeap, but then what would happen to the players who forgot about the game and want to come back to their old account?

ok give the deletion a bit more time, but there are thousands of dead accounts, that and id rather hit a live target, or an encrypt, ya get more than ya do hittin a dead account

just make it so if noone logs onto an account the account wont show up in the galaxy or rankings.

yea but the deletion should go ahead because they join then quit and it's no fair on us that play that have to be zero'd and end somewere like in the 1000's beacuse of dead accounts

we wouldnt have so many dead accounts if emi listened to the players, and did what they wanted to make the game more fun.

i think most that can come up with the $20 will go ahead and purchase gold once they see what they are getting providing they plan on sticking around

now with the gold upgrade for new members we should open it up more i think emi did a good job with the rextriction but it needs to be open a little more for upgrades and the guide needs more info about making ships not just the one raid ship something new that people are going to use

the week gold was a good idea, gives new players a taste of the stuff, lets them snag a few good designs. there's always going to be some minor abuse, but since it require the to write the specs of the ship down and then reengineer the ship it's not horrid, most people are too lazy to do that.

good choice on adding this in emi.

and snooch this was not your idea, many people have has this idea before you and suggested this.. you get no credit, you get a kick to the face

cameron, he gets credit as it was this time that emi decided to listen. Many times an idea is suggested, shot down, brought up later by someone else and then accepted. Otherwise anyone past #2000 can't claim credit for any ideas because they were all suggested on the OLD forum in the 1st 1 1/2 years of SO when there was no galaxy (which we suggested being added like, 20 times before it was).

Snooch gets credit from bring the idea back up and getting it implemented, stop being sore about it and let it go.

actually i posted this in 2 separate areas before. and it wasn't the post that made emi decide to listen. it was actually my message to him showing all 3 posts, including this one of course, that made emi decide to post in the most recent one.

jessie, i have brougth ideas before emi's attention as well, and he implemented them. It doesn't mean you get to claim credit for it. Obviously he liked how Snooch wrote it out and thought it up, maybe Snooch said something different, or maybe Emi jsut likes Snooch better. Age old rule, credit goes to whoever posted the topic emi said he was implementing it in. That makes it Snooch's add on to the game, regardless if how many times it was posted.

Actually, credit goes to emi first of all for its he who does the work on implementation, then to all the people who brought up the idea. Like that, I can't take full credit for planets, even though E posted in my topic :P

AFB, emi usualy gives donation bonuses/ect to those he takes ideas from and implements. emi is always auto-credit, but for the sae of who he'd give the bonus to, it's who he posted the reply in. and didn't you recieve a bonus for him implementing your idea? i swore you did. could be wrong though.

Actually if everyone reads the 1st 3 posts of this topic you will see it was constructive team work in the suggestion of the trial, snooch raised question of more gold players, I suggested free gold trial and Jessie the 1 week. Not to mention that the subject had been raised before. 
So really everyone that makes a positive suggestive comment gets credit even if the idea doesn't get implemented. ( a bad idea can lead to a good one!!)

but then emi would have to backtrack through EVERY post ever made to find anyone who contributed to implementation. Thus, it's simply whoever was the last person to post the topic in which the idea was suggested and that emi replied in about implementing. Saves confusion and people fighting over the reward.

see seither thats why i didnt care for you too much.. your too cocky here... snooch talked like a 4 year old so he wrote it up so emi would listen.. yeah thats right.. ahem no.. a few people brought this up to emi before snooch made this attempt at a well put together suggestion, which would be in the wrong section if it was a suggestion, he gets no credit, you do not know all, 2+2=5

and i believe that the credit should go to the first person to bring it up. lesser credit to those who either edit the suggestion or make it more widely known. look at ur history text book, thats how they do it

and it's whoever talked about it when emi saw it and added it and replied in that topic that gets the credit aka the reward. Saturn 7 it seems is that person.

Actually snooch never suggested that this be added...so really you've been wrong all along.

On this topic however, it seems that more new players have been sticking around lately on main server, maybe this is due to the week of gold!

and if you notice, i DID correct the person who i said was getting credit to saturn 7, who resuggested it in the topic. as i browsed throguh real fast, i ended up reading that post as spayed's.

and its really because i came back they're all sticking around ;P
