Title: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: Tsai Carnam on September 02, 2008, 02:18:08 PM As I don't know if anyone has discovered it yet and brought it to your attention, I thought I might as well.
I currently have 65% Construction Efficiency, and the dismantling gives back 50% of the original resources spent of the original cost [of 0% Construction Efficiency[. As to why my construction efficiency is that high, that is another story. Here is the chart and profit (I bought and sold a regular station): Before Resources Spent Carbon - 862515 Stone - 30628 Ice - 100869 Iron - 50371 Metals - 4583 Gold - 26802 Diamond - 11232 After Resources Spent Carbon - 849390 Stone - 21878 Ice - 98244 Iron - 48621 Metals - 2833 Gold - 26365 Diamond - 10970 After Dismantling Resources Carbon - 868140 Stone - 34378 Ice - 101994 Iron - 51121 Metals - 5333 Gold - 26990 Diamond - 11345 Total Profit Carbon - 5625 Stone - 3750 Ice - 1125 Iron - 750 Metals - 750 Gold - 188 Diamond - 113 What is your ruling on this Sir Emi? Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: SorisDark on September 02, 2008, 02:23:42 PM you got the right amount..or less, idk :21:
Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: Tsai Carnam on September 02, 2008, 02:26:40 PM I actually made a profit.
Total Profit Carbon - 5625 Stone - 3750 Ice - 1125 Iron - 750 Metals - 750 Gold - 188 Diamond - 113 I think this is a potential exploit, and if Sir Emi would allow me to use it, I will lol. Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: SorisDark on September 02, 2008, 02:30:06 PM maybe he intended it? would be nice :wow: even though all you would have to do is build stations and simantle em for a while to get a tonne of resources, so use it while you can :))
Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: Tsai Carnam on September 02, 2008, 02:30:58 PM Think about it... Mothership modules with free resources? In theory, I could push my ship costs down to literally where I save 80%... That wouldn't be fair for anyone I am sure. Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: SorisDark on September 02, 2008, 02:32:22 PM i know, would be great :P
Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: Tsai Carnam on September 02, 2008, 02:33:50 PM I am going to end this problem before it starts, that is just how it works for me.
But if you do fix it emi, please do not set it at where the max construct efficiency is 50% :(, I spent so much to get to 65% lol. Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: SorisDark on September 02, 2008, 02:35:26 PM umm, max construct eff. is 80-85% isnt it?
Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: Jan`go Vhett on September 02, 2008, 04:32:23 PM Tsai I think he would probably give ya back what ya spent and you can get free resources from getting replication input and output up so it probably isn't that big a deal.
Title: Re: Extra Resources from Disassembling Stations Post by: SirEmi on September 03, 2008, 12:45:50 AM Ok, here is the fix.
If you have 60% construction efficiency you get something like this when dismantling: Structure dismantled successfully. 40% of resources from structure and 50% from modules were recovered. Same with 65% you get 35%. Note that 35% = your build cost. So anything above 50% you just get back whatever you used. Modules are un-affected since the tech is only for the main structure. |
