Title: Alliance counters Post by: Saturn 7 on September 01, 2008, 11:40:38 AM Ok, relatively new to the game so give me some leniency!!!.....
An idea that suddenly came to me last night... How about when someone attcks a member of an alliance, the counter is available to all the alliance members of the attacked player. This counter can only be used once, but this way it will help solve the problem of people reducing their fleet power so they cant be counterd. It will also bring the function of alliances much more into play, as if you attack someone from a particular alliance , you risk the retaliation of it. You may ask how could that justified within the story line.... well alliances share information, so a warp trail could be traced by the whole alliance if they share technology and information. Another idea ( I Know I'm getting carried away here), to allow alliance members to have a galactic fleet tracker. This will show the location of all alliance members fleets on the galactic map. Maybe the technology has to be earned via the CP tech tree, the higher the level , the greater the radius. I know one potential downside to this, is that espionage will come into play. Can see some players trying to put alts into rival alliances, but that could still add to the game, makes people carefull on who they recruit. Anyway, feel free to ridicule my ideas, wont take it personally!! And the other one I don't think is so good I have had too many people actually join an alliance then attack fellow members and that would just make it easier for them.
Title: Re: Alliance counters Post by: AFB on September 01, 2008, 03:57:40 PM Yeah, counters are personal, and is shared only if the person wants, here they can be taken without consent. And also, to make it fair, currently both victim and his friend have to waste turns....But its good to see new people stepping up with suggestions :)
