Dear Sir Emi,

I have been discussing with my son [J-Bomb], how to solve the arguements about being attacked by alt accounts and to stop people being conned into thinking that certain alt accounts are owned by the wrong player.

e.g.

player [A] tells player that alt account belongs to player [C]

where in reality the alt account actually belongs to player [A]

We know people do this to cause wars and arguements between people.

so here is a brilliant idea that me and J-Bomb came up with just now.

All players will have an id number for their original ip adress

Therefore if there is, lets say 5 accounts

A
B
C
D
E

and accounts ,[C] and [D] are constantly hitting account [E], the player with account [E] will have an id number associated with each one. But if they all belong to account [A], it show up as belonging to that player.

This way no one can lie or cheat or get away with using alt accounts to hit people or make people think something that is not true.

The way you could do it is assign a secondary attack signature stating what account the commander belongs to, so

account [A] would be A1234 = A1234
account would be B1234 = A1234

and so on

this way the player being attacked would know that the attacker was actually player [A].

Also you could make it that the person who takes the counter can either hit one or both of the accounts.

But if the main account holder officially states that it belongs to him/her or one of his family, using the same ip address or it is on a college network then the code shown in the signature would be different.

Now you could do this for free or make part of the benefits of being gold.

heh yah right, alts are a part of this game and not knowing who that alt is is just another stragey, get over it Q if you dont like not knowing then do more looking into people before you try to cheat your way into figureing out.. if you dont like that part of war get over it.

Nice idea, but its too easy to change one's IP address for it to be very effective.

I personnaly think the use of alt's is the most pathetic tactic out there, unless they are played as seperate account's, the player owning them deserves an instant ban, if you can't do it on your own why bother?

Another way to lower the problem of alt abuse would be to not allow to different accounts to sign on at the same computer, or to add a 1 hour timer between different account login's, i know its probably stupied, but alt's are the only thing that i feel can be classed as cheating on this game, unless, as mentioned before they are played seperatly.

Well, zeph, unless its possible to have two different ip's on same computer, it kinda does work. It just compares to tell if its the same adress on two or more accounts.

But alts are part of the game, and if people don't like it, well, no one forces them to use alts :P The basic rules outline alt abuse, so you are protected against that.

Dude, just use a proxy when you're going on an alt?

zephy you would have to turn it on and off between playing accounts, annoying! lol


and no alts are not cheating, there are guidlines agaisnt that i dont use alts to scout someone for my self.. cause thats against the rules.. the most common way i use alts is eaither to play a seperate account or to scout someones base to help my allaince or someone in it (and nothing is wrong with that!)

i have nothing against alts till people abuse them (attacking the same person with alts, etc etc), also some people share computers, so you cant just ban more than one account on a single comp :D
