Title: Solution for Warping Post by: jessiedog on March 30, 2008, 05:57:49 PM i think i finally came up with a way to fit everyone's needs.
amagnon said earlier that warps should count as diminishing counters, where for every warp 6 hours is deducted from the time left to counter. for what im saying, this would work. when you attack a player and give a counter, your power is recorded. when the commander tries to counter u, the warp is the same as the power u had when u attacked them. for instance, commander A with 120 bil power attacks commander B with 100 bil power. commander A then reserves and drops to 50 bil power. when commander B tries to counter, the warp chance is as if commander A still has 120 bil power. this solves problems of alts powering up, attacking, then reserving, and also solves the problem of using overpowering fp when the chance is 95% anyway. to go along with this, i would suggest making stabilizers and disruptors the same cost and compensating for the disruptors already researched. if this were done with the wars server now then people could attack and have absolutely no fear of a counter. plz post your thoughts... Title: Re: Solution for Warping Post by: FTP on March 31, 2008, 09:08:15 AM I drop my power hit someone and power up to 700 bill..... for his attack warp chance I will still be 50 bill power as when I took a hit at me so he can never hit me with a decent fleet :P

Title: Re: Solution for Warping Post by: FTP on April 01, 2008, 07:38:03 AM I'm flying around I hit you when we are at equal level I got a huge amount of ships. Then you get someone to whack me down. I lose 3/4 of my entire fleet, then you could just feast on the leftovers.
Title: Re: Solution for Warping Post by: jessiedog on April 01, 2008, 05:37:44 PM ok
there are many faults. but the basic principles could potentially solve the issue. Title: Re: Solution for Warping Post by: NolanJB on April 02, 2008, 05:07:00 PM This is a good idea... but like FTP said there's a couple faults. How about keep the power recorded the same if the person lowers they're power but if they attack with low power then rise, maybe use the higher power?
