jeez cmon stop with the crying about the aliens i agree its time for a new round but only because people have started maxing out, NEw round people :D, and no more crying about exploration

Kenquinn, I might be a DDD but they don't ALWAYS try to defend it, they will defend it untill they think it's time for it.

I'm not crying about Exploration poop happens I'm just saying it's time for a new round since as you said people have started to max.

I say we should prolong dday to get some of the other issues resolved prior to starting a new round... also to make the people that rushed to max suffer for their rash decisions in taking advantage of something that was obviously broken (maybe I'm just mean spirited)

who cares about new issues. this round sucks and needs dday. And would everybody stop talking about aliens and probes and how they cause people to max. when people max we should start dday, like right now

Maybe that would be a new "update"? or something..
When 1 person maxes out. DDay has to start within 2 weeks of time or something? :confused:

hehe just start dday now the only person that has ability to max right now would be lightseeker, proly unless other people do not want to. but just start it i am getting bored

I got the Aliens update for the new round ready and balanced:

Incursion:

- only item rewards
- New Items in Incursion: about 400 new CP items, implants

Hidden encounters:

- only item rewards, more CP, turns and other rare items then in Incursion, but lower payout per alien fleet destroyed then Incursion
- the resource items
- There is a chance a higher power Alien Commander can spawn when all the aliens have been cleared
- Alien commander drops some items AND a higher item of the type, by rarity, right more rare: absorb, attack, accuracy, hitpoints, experience, CP, turns

God Speed commanders!

And will the Aliens still provide Pinpointer Probes as reward?

The CP items, are kind of like implants, have implant names... there still are probes in hidden encounters, but more rare...

Hey, how did this individual get a minimum commander level of 100 - ive never even seen this individual in the news, doing any kind of mission. this is a Cheat.

traditionally we the players attempt to end dday at a time the most players can participate, meaning the weekend, so people will not miss it because of work and school. we've always been able to fine tune it because WE controlled it. apparently not anymore.

If you want to know the end time in another timezone just ask or if I'm wrong please correct me.

cp items sounds good emi should lower the mid power campers and alow thoes who upgrade rewards for doing so (higher turn items,cp items ect.) i can only hope that you have put some limt on the amount of cridet and worker items that drops otherwises nothings really changed, as well as the aliens power should be spawning on fleet cost therfore not abused by p ships, anyway look foward to the changes see you all out on the battlefeild next round ;).

nah i totally agree dday needs to happen.. but its gonna end when i have class... woo hoo... emi's a bad enfluence.. i may have to skip class

yes, definatly, but the players should have decided when - specifecally(sic) what time, too many people are working or school at the current end time - 1130am on a weekday?? c'mon. it should at least be ending during off hours - late afternoon,evening, or middle of night. personally it makes no big difference to me, i fell so far behind the aliens i wasn't even in the running to finish high. but there has been this understanding that the players work it out. and in the past e has refused to intervene - stating that dday will happen when enough players want it too. to loosley quote a mail he sent me some rounds ago.Anyways if i'da had the dday button we'd be starting the new round yesterday(sunday)

trapping the players in dday also destroys a whole range of strategy which has been used effectivly in the past to destroy enemies and win wars.

well, there goes another cool aspect.(sorry this post is so long)

DDay should happen when either:
20 people join the armada
OR
1 Person Maxes out. This will prevent excruciatingly long games. :)

Let's not get this twisted... the people that max have chosen their course of action with full understanding of the consequences.

As Losted has indicated, there has been a strategy use in dday research that has been negated by breaking more rules to facilitate one's desires. Seriously, if we were to be trapped in dday (without warning) at least have the decency to allow the hostages of dday to retaliate sans the rules... it's not like it's the only rules being broken. Without allowing dday researchers to escape the constant attacks, even immediate dday would've been a more palatable solution. THINK PEOPLE!

This round has been riddled with rule bending/breaking even to the extent of going against the creator's own intervention standards that he himself set. I'm disgusted in the fact that I actually believed that these irresponsible actions were over... suppose it's just par for the course.

You are NOT allowed to attack anyone when you are already able to max, as Wiley was zreoed by kryo's account, where-after Wiley got his ships back from Emi because kryo was able to max.

Sooo.. It's max out, and stay max.
Or: don't max and wait a few days before you max.

Are you really that confused as to the target of my statement?
Maybe you should read the forum in the timeline presented, then you'll understand that it was directed at the "excruciatingly long games" comment. Just because a few commanders exploited an aspect of the game to rush to max, does not justify ending the game for everyone else that didn't have the understanding of the game or that chose not to take advantage of the eploit.
I was merely pointing out that the commanders that rushed to max knew what it meant when they max. I have no sympathy for them being bored because they can't attack anyone else... that was the course they chose.


On that note, I will no longer be posting in this thread as dday is upon us all.
