Scouting with alts is against TOS - this may have been pure chance, perhaps the two accounts are unrelated - but if it happens again I will post it again and request a ban.

if u have a problem with him mail him or me, u dont have to immediately accuse people of being alts

hmm you cant blame him for thinking its an alt.. ive been attacked by both accounts aswell

THis doesnt sound like Im immediately accusing anyone - and I only posted one name.  Still - I have to respond - if Im scouted by a low account, then attacked by a stronger account within 10 minutes - that is suspicious, and Ill respond immediatly.

When I first started I used to use an alt to scout - I didnt know it was against TOS - I didnt even know what the TOS was - now I do, and I understand its an unfair advantage to use a low powered account for those purposes.

as for alts and a separate topic, it would be good to abolish/limit them

*sigh* ok first off, posting AAAA (#XXXX) tells us nothing, thus your post is purely spam, as we cannot be sure who the 2nd attack is from. Just because you got attacked at close to the same time means nothing. Many alliances do joint attacks to eleminate people. So this isn't even a semi possibly legitamate claim, as there is no where NEAR a decent amount of info given for any checking to be done.

Plus, we do not know if the full assault board did anything, if it failed, being an attack by alts doesn't matter. secondly, if the accounts were being played seperately, it's not against ToS, it's not someone else's fault if you are weakened or have 0 ships, ect. The rule only applies if they have knowledge of your ships that couldn't have otherwise, so if both belong to the same alliance and he posted his attack on you, anyone in the alliance has access to that info on your ships, thus the 2nd attack is fine. Messaging the info doesn't count, as it isn't available to other people, the info MUST be available to more than the person's alt.

3rd off, bans are only given in EXTREME circumstances. Emi may temporarily suspend the account and give you your ships back, or just give you your ships back, or do nothing. That is purely his call, as he runs the game, so he may feel something isn't a breach of ToS we do.

4th, who says the first guy is low powered? he may have only sent a weak ship to see if he could break your defenses and saw he couldn't, or maybe he put his best ships away by the time you check to prevent them from being destroyed by a counter or attack. Those are both VERY COMMON moves. And 10 minutes is a long time between a scout attack and a full blown assault. You could easily boost your defences by tenfold in that time. Just assuming it's an alt is not the smart thing to do. I'm afraid I have to label this as a cry for attention, no matter what it may be.

Also J-Bomb. your post has been deleted, as it is purely spam, as has yours cameron. There is NO excuse for it, and someone else posting spam gives you no reason to post spam spam spam ^ messages either. This is a wanring for BOTH of you. Next time i will request Snipedragon place a 3 day suspension on your forum accounts and/or IPs for the forums as punishment.

and it will be impossible to abolish alts, as we have no true way of knowing if there are more than one player per household per computer, thus we cannot limit it to 1 account per IP address, thus it cannot be stopped or even limited. This discussion has been gone over many times, the only solution is deal with the cheaters, keep track of who has alts, and blast the alts to pieces, only a few alts are used improperly anyways, most alts are by top ten-fifty commanders who have extra time and use up their turns on their other accounts or get bored being unable to attack anyone.

Once again, topic locked. Provide all relevant info next time you believe to be illegally attack by alts, or I will immediately lock the thread and request a 3 day suspension on the forum. We don't have time for all this senseless thread banter, the forums are actually fairly busy, and you waste valuable time that we can be using to help with real problems that need our attention.
