Title: Galaxy "Probes" Post by: Satan on June 19, 2007, 08:06:36 PM I think it would be nice if you could leave some kind of small ship in a system or something of the sort and use it to keep the nav computer constantly updated (I find that i rarely have the turns to jump to systems in my navcomputer that are supposed to have reavers or lots of resources or something) ...sorta like a spy ship or hidden sensor platform. The ship could cost around 1-100 million or something depending on what it can detect and what sort of tech it has on board (ie, cloaking, shields, player detectors...etc.) There should probably be a limit too, otherwise some overly rich person could blanket the galaxy with them and know everything they needed too and keep tabs on everyone :12:.
But the main point of the thing would be so that it was hidden and undetectable by most players without the right tech level. It she be droppable into a system with a station or reavers with little or no penalty, so as to make it even less suspicious to other players passing through or setting up a base. J.T.
