wouldn't it be cool if there was a pay by phone option for donations.....
it would allow those who cant/wont use paypal and most online paying methods.
it will allow more people to donate.
it will let me donate :) .
most browser based games(the good ones) have a pay by phone option now.

Well, I think It'sa very good idea

no this game is awesome but i feel that some people have an advantage over me because of my inability to donate

moan moan moan look at light seeker and others who dont donate they are awsome players ive had enough of the donating debate get over it

let me put it another way, is it so wrong for me wanting to help the production of s.o by funding them with 20 quid

I think you should be able to donate by phone....

it would be cool tho most games do take pay by phone these days i dont think it costs that much to set up a service but i dunno i remember honing a German one once nut funnie lol

Not promoting another game, but "techwarrior" at techwarrior.co.uk has a donate by phone option, it's a good way for people who do not have paypal and other methods of online payment.

I know there are a few who will not "ask the bill payers permission" before using the option, but paypal can also be misused.

Just my opinion, but i would like Sir Emi to consider it as a way of donating.

im not promoting either but some more well known games such as travian and tribal wars and more have pay by phone options but for some reason they dont allow high amounts to be paid at once such as travian 25 coins option u can only use pbp and for one month subscriptions on tribal wars

Yes I will consider this option and will look for info on how to install and run it and also how much this service will cost, because it is very possible it can cost more then the servers to maintain. The posted mail donatin box was implemented, but it seems it's not used at all now, and the donations are barely keeping up with the costs at the moment, so there needs to be a ballance between the donations and the costs for running all those services, in order to keep things rolling.

When the time comes, I'm sure I will implement it.
