Title: Credit transfer abuse.
Post by: lostedchylde on April 27, 2007, 01:02:18 AM
i don't know if this is the right place cause it's about abuse but not reporting it. i need to know if it is abuse if i were to transfer credits through the market to other commanders in game, as payment or gift? what would be abuse?

well, a lot of commanders who post people in the hit list section use the market to pay for bounties...atm i think emi might be working on a PvP bounty system...

but for example if you had an alt and ur account had like 30 billion credits, using the market just to send half that to your alt is abuse

I don't believe that it is inherently abuse. and as long as it isn't to boost up another player or alt far beyond what they could do on their own, I think it's okay.

you are not aloud to give any money to anotehr account of yours, but atm i dont think it is against the rules 2 give money to other commanders, and i dont think it suld be made illegal because some times poeple jsut need alittle help, i have given and recived money alot of times to people that need alittle helpa tthe time, or at times when i need help

What is abuse is account feeding -- such as, a top spot player gives credits continuously to one person with intent to use the account for personal gain, such as helping in a war, attacking lower players, etc. What is not abuse is paying someone through the market for services such as a bounty, helping watch your account, something like that. Gifts would also be OK, but not the "Oh, all those transactions that have been happening everyday for the past month were just uh birthday gifts" kind.

emi fixed the market transfers so it cant be abused anymore. anything you give to someone is legal dont matter what reason it is..as long as its not alt feeding. example..if i gave my alt in your alliance 200 bil from this account it would be abuse..since my alt is like 3 mil power w/e...but me giving you 200 bil creds cause i wanted to then theres no problem....

If you want to give others some credits and you can donate, you should use that option above another. Well that is in my opinion, only when you have no other means to give others some money you should use market for this purpose.
