Title: The Battle - How does it work? Post by: SirEmi on April 11, 2007, 04:43:39 PM I've received a number of questions on how the battle works, so here are some examples:
You have 100 ships with 10.000 attack => 1.000.000 fleet attack. You have accuracy 50% => 500.000 fleet attack Now you attack a fleet that has 25% shield aborb. The defending fleet has 100 ships with 1.000 defence / ship => 100.000 fleet defence. The attacker loses damage while penetrating the shields: 500.000 * (1-0.25) => 375.000 fleet attack Now defence kicks in: 375.000 - 100.000 => 275.000 damage Result: 275.000 damage to the defender armor / hitpoints. Let's say defender has 100 ships with 5.000 HP / ship: 375.000 damage / 5000 => 75 ships destroyed. Title: Re: The Battle - How does it work? Post by: Remfer on April 23, 2007, 06:03:36 PM When i make my ships i always (when i make two that are about the same power) look at the different attacks and HP...and then i determine depending on what the ABS is that...
lets say my ship has 1.000.000.000 HP...and my shields are 65% then i round that to about 50% and determine i can suffer more than 2.000.000.000 Dammage...then when i look at the attack (750.000.000) about i realize that any ship around my power won't be able to destroy it (besides bording) since there is no way they have over 2.000.000.000 attack power (after ACU kicks in) if it is the same cost as my ship :) Title: Re: The Battle - How does it work? Post by: Remfer on April 24, 2007, 11:51:21 AM yeah...but i like to go with the lower amount anyway then figure out the 66.6% stuff later...so i know in my preliminary calculations how much it can take and then i figure out the 3.000.000.000 damage then i figure, hey a ship of the same cost is about the same ACU so i then figure the same ACU (lets say the same as the Shielding [66.6%]) and after that i realize my ship is able to withstand quite a lot

Post a new topic please this is a old topic But the answer is they attack in order Your first to the enemys first Your second to his second and so on and so forth If you have 10 and they have 4 you 5th fleet will go back and hit his first, if it was not destroyed And so on and so forth Title: Re: The Battle - How does it work?
