Title: bullshit
Post by: ghettodope11 on December 06, 2006, 06:15:03 PM
well, im done with this game. i dont want to play a gamewhere you can only get somewhere if you donate. i spent the last 5 days gathering enough credits to build 3 ships. the first 2 are bahemoth666. they both have around 35million fleet power each. and the other ship is bacemoth 1, with 84 million fleetpower. i have lost bahemoth 1 3 times. il admit, the first time i got careless, and the second time i wasent paying attention. but the third time, i attacked, with both bahemoth666's and my bahemoth 1, a level ""12"" mission. yes, level 12. it attacked me with ""Swarmer 1"" ""815218 ships" "16929 attack" "691 def" "1650 hit points".
that is over13 billion attack. THATS BULLSHIT!
it destroyed bahemoth 1 and 1 bahemoth666.

i messaged #1 about it, because as you can agree, thats bullshit. all he has to say is quote "Hello,

Sorry for your loss, in general you should start with missions of max power 10 times less then your fleets, because you never know if the fleet used is a good design for missions.

Also, don't just build a big ship, build small fleets and learn the system, at a lower reward level first.
Then, when you're confortable with the reward / loss ratio, expand the ships on that proportion and watch the results carefully.

Check the guides, and find an alliance that can help, get some good designs, and always keep 10 times more credits than your fleet is worth.

I hope this helps you.

Sir Emi"

thats bullshit.

i just thought i should tell you guys this before i left, just to let you all know how bullshit this game is. your required to donate to get anywhere, and if you dont donate, and you start getting somewhere, it will smash you back down.

Well, I will check those killer fleets again, and hopefully try to protect the new mission runner in the next update, but you shouldn't give up on the game just for that. It's not ment to be easy, you aslo need skill for missions, and sometimes you get really unlucky... I tried to help in any way I could.

and that's not true that u can't get anywhere without donating...take me, i was at rank 201 with only 70 mil total power...and suddenly i tried something, it worked and now i'm rank 106 with over 800 mil power...and i didn't donate...

I asked people and they always told me the same thing...people tried stuff, it worked for them, they adapted.  If ur worried about killer fleets then do what emi said or, make a cap for urself.

My ships has 600 mil fleet power, and i've set a cap (most of the time) that i will only do missions up to 300 mill power just incase of KF.

Granted, yeah im known to donate, however. My first round in the game, I donated nothing. Not a single red cent and I finished #8 in the round. The very next round, you know how much I donated? (As far as I can remember) NOTHING and I managed to finish 5th (woulda finished higher . . long story).

After that I started donating.

Also, Lightseeker has never donated a lei, a leu, a penny, pence, rupee, ruble, whatever currency. Not a single time. He was given his gold account for excellent service to the game and an outstanding commander performance. That is the only thing Lightseeker has been given and he has finished #1 3 times in a row, and placed in the top 10 the last 5 rounds (unless i dont know how to count).

If your going to attack missions bigger than your ships can handle then the fault is your own, dont blame others just because they donated (which keeps the game going). Dont say that the only way to win is by donating because it isnt. To me your ships arent the greatest designs for the price but everyone has their own way they want their ships.

Fleets 1-3 of 3   First | Previous [ 1 ] Next | Last
Fleet name    Attack    Defence    Hitpoints    Accuracy    Absorb    Cost/Ship
Bahemoth 1    1200000000    0    1500001104    83 %    64 %    6.353.369.742

Fleet name    Attack    Defence    Hitpoints    Accuracy    Absorb    Cost/Ship
Bahemoth666    475000000    0    795400000    92 %    57 %    2.525.723.200

My ships of comaprable price are totally different from yours, but I design my ships the way I like them

$6.5 billion :
Fleet name    Attack    Defence    Hitpoints    Accuracy    Absorb
XXXXXXXX   1166423640    0    3358806507         90 %            65 %

$2.2 billion :
Fleet name    Attack      Defence    Hitpoints    Accuracy    Absorb
XXXXXXXXX   446423621      0      1042333276         90 %           65 %

Donating is just a quick way to get ahead but if you dont know what to do with what you got then the only way you stay there is by donating over and over again. What you need is to become part of a GOOD alliance that will teach you how to get ahead in the game and help you design ships that will endure.

Blame donators if thats what you have to do to make yourself feel better about quitting, but the people who donate / buy gold accounts is what keeps this game running ( servers arent free ), and it sure as hell isnt easy to create and upkeep any type of program.

This raving lunatic is done for now. 0o

A am not a donater. and look at that halls of Glory. You will see my name there also you will notice that I stay in the top 30 or so most of the game well within striking distance of the top 10.  The Teufel Hunden allaince as a whole have been in the top 10 since thier incepetion, and I might add with considerbly fewer people than the other Top 10 alliances.  If you need assistance with ship desing let me know.  and the way to use what you have I will be glad to help you.  my msn is franktheis27@hotmail.com  dont leave and quit because of a stroke of bad luck we all get that some times.

Bah Franks bragging againn! :))

Now, I know frank is lookin at me like  0o however Frank is one of the top 5 best designers in the game if not the best. (I like to consider myself up there. I've built quite a few nasty fleets, many of which you still encounter in missions and encounters  :12:)

Do mission encounters take ship designs depending on power like if u want to search a ship in gold account?

if so...has anyone seen the divinity prototype or the divinity prototype 2 in any missions?

yeah the reason u lsot is probably a fault in ur designs... mission flet calculator should sotp kill fleets from waht ive heard... and i didnt donate nything, finished #1 last round (thgohu now it is requiring u donate more and more...)

people havent donated much this round, really with how the games set up now you really have no need to donate..

Yeah...and i have one question...it's confusing now so i'm not sure...is the mothership missions still the 100k up to 4% and then 1 mil after that?  or is it now only 100k per percent?

the cost calculater helps reduce killer fleets in galaxy mission, but they exist elsewhere. And quitting because you hit one bad run is stupid. I've hit bad runs multiple times in a row. I looked at those ships of yours and guess what: they are not good ships. especially not for missions. also a 12% mission (I assume you meant 12%, not a 12 encryption lvl) is hard, even I can't win them and I'm at 111th(maybe it's 112th, I forget) place and 800M power.

And you don't have to donate to get places, it helps, but they encounter the same problems we do, the only difference is if they lose those ships they paid real money for them, rather then just spent a little longer earning it in missions. if you are still playing, contact Ars68 for some free, good beginner designs, and Frank may have a few he'll hand off for free, but he has good designs that are worth paying for.

eh market tends to mess me over, I avoid it. But as the unofficial official SO slogan says:

Adapt Surpass Survive

I still love the old 10Six motto:

Own/Mine/Defend 24/7

Remfer, heres an adaptation to you. I adapt this quote to Space Odyssey

I own you and make everything of yours mine then I defend it. 24/7

Post by: Remfer on December 08, 2006, 09:09:44 AM
1. I don't get it...first thing i know i'm completing a 205% mothership mission for 1 bil credits with my two good ships...next thing i know the better is dead on a 225% and later against a super nova that had 1/6 my fleet power my second best ship dies... I thought Emi said the fleet cost calculator was to avoid KF...and now there was a new thing for KF during encounters that adds or subtracts and extra 10% so is a 225% mission hard? (fleet powers for ships are: DP = 670 mil DP2 = 1 bil 70 mil)

When you are doing missions, if your fleets have too big of a power gap what will happen is the fleets will moderate between the two and will end up weaker then your first fleet, stronger then your 2nd fleet.

That isn't a killer fleet situation

basically, power gaps=super bad.
