Post by: Drackin on October 12, 2006, 09:36:45 PM yeah but that ship was worth 35 bill not 35 mill. i dont have nearly enough fleets to face anything like that.. specially on a 5% mission.. so the question is... 35 bill is what percent of 216 mill??... thats a little more than 15,000% of my total fleet cost

Post by: Seither on October 13, 2006, 08:15:11 AM It's time that those stupid killer fleets were taken out, they aren't needed and they appear every 10 missions (I actually tested this, 9 times out of ten, you'll hit one before you do 10 missions. I didn't save the log, wish I had, but I encountered a 1% mission, using a total fleet power of about 3-5M, of about 1B worth of ships, lost everything. While not as bad as this log, it IS a major problem and it needs fixed ASAP.

I don't recall running into as many fleets that size as I have this round. If you want my theory, I think emi has changed the formula for missions in order to slow down the growth rate of commanders. He seemed surprised that Broni reached max. I can't imagine what his reaction was when he saw 5 players at max power. :))

you are saying 35B CREDITS, not power. and it is couple hundred mil power, not credits. we all should know perfectly well there is no serious relation between cost of ship and power of ship. a ship could cost 30k, and have 20k power, or only 5k power, or even 2k power. although I am guesing it would be around 100-200 times the power of the mission regardless, it owuld be 100's of mil of power, not billions. |
