Seeing as how this round seems to be off to a slower start due in part to the updates, what say you give out say 1- 1.5k turns systemwide to all commanders to help play along?
What say all of you?

well I guess extra turns would not change anything I am afraid ... - but I could use them lol

the borg, it depends, are you one of the peopel who hit a killer fleet withen the first 4 days of playing and lost everything? if not, then yes, it changes nothing, but for those like me, who did, these turns would be a big help, and since everyone would get them, it would be fair all around.

ya... a lot of things are actually fair, as long as you give it to everyone... like if everyone got 1 trillion credits right now, you would get it, your alliance members to... but then all your enemies do to.

however, what purpose is there? if it is turns, you are really doing the equivalent of speeding the game up 1 day.  and anyone counting on not reaching full turns yet till the next day would lose that many turns just by not knowing it happened.

true, but think of this ars, most people use up almost all their turns, save a few people. Most people also won't be withen 1k turns of their max, so the slight few it would affect would only get robbed of normal turns, as you could make sure these turns work like voting turns, they get added no matter what.

How come there's a thread about turns should be less now there's one on more turns needed, gee i cant keep up with you lot lol.

I think the updates cool the turns are cool and the game only gets better, Ive hit more killer fleets than hot dinners but it makes for an interesting round.

as for the turns... why not make it so u get 10 turns a min. then only the really active ppl could keep up with the game :D
the more turns per min, the more active u gotta be, and not every1 has the time to really be that active...

Why dont we just do it maxes out ever min?

Make the entire game pointless and without tactics?

If i had more turns i'd never get anything done round my house, just leave it alone for this round see how it goes as the rounds only just started.

ah, the eternal misconception of extra resources... it is ok if you want extra turns... but understand if it is to get ahead of anyone else... it will not help one bit.  say we get 1 turn a minute now, we could get 10 turns a minute... but every other player would also receive this same benefit as well, so in reality, you are no closer then you were before.

in reality, giving out more turns would only be speeding up what would take a long time.  like, with more turns, you would have the equivalent of say, a week, in the time span of a day.  in that week, you will still get the same turns, just a matter of how long.

also, more turns in shorter time = lots more stuff for you to have to sit there and do... meaning more hours on end doing nothing but play SO...

NJop but i u havent got much patience and wait then its annoying 1 turn = every 1 min well someites its costs 14 turns to do a missions and u maynot even past makin it 14 mins to do 1 mission which is extrremely hard

1 turn per minute is already pretty fast.  normally, it is measured in 1 turn an hour or so, fastest in all online games is 1 turn per 20 seconds or so, and that was with a max of 20 turns, trying to simulate real time gameplay.  now, if 1 turn per 20 seconds is recreating real time, what is 1 minute?

if you are out of turns, just sleep on it, chances are, you'll do better then anyway :)

ya, but if it isn't to old, and you are going to create a new thread on the same thing... then I guess I can let that slide... just don't be resurrecting old topics just to resurrect it (ressurecting being posting in a thread that has not had a post in 1-2+ months)
