Title: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: thezerg on April 10, 2007, 07:39:51 PM I can't remember what it is. Anyone want to tell me?
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: Chronos on April 10, 2007, 09:16:20 PM It's
c0 + c1 / 2 + c2 / 6 + ... + cn / (n+n^2) I believe. At least for the computers. Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: thezerg on April 10, 2007, 11:47:28 PM gracias
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: Chronos on April 12, 2007, 06:00:18 PM De nada.
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: The-Joe on April 24, 2007, 05:35:38 AM And computers are stacked automaticly in order (i guess).
35% + 34%(1+2/2)+33%(2+2/3)... or something close to that. I'm not sure about the order, is it cost, accu, def or what. Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: thezerg on April 24, 2007, 09:41:06 AM Im pretty sure its auto stacked by %
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: Zero3dx on April 29, 2007, 11:27:24 PM is this correct for shields?
im trying it and it doesnt really seem to work out the way i want it to.... ??? Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: Gunfighter Frank on April 30, 2007, 12:30:57 PM shields are simple 1 shield give full power 2nd sheild give 1/2 power 3rd give 1/3 power do the math then - 3 since you have 3 shields. that is the basics. however if you drop too much from the 1st and 3rd shield the average of the shields will also come into play. IE a 30 and a 10 will give you ~ 20 since the difference in the shield power the average comes into play.
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: SirAlucard on May 14, 2007, 11:17:52 PM I'm unfortunately not extremely good at maths, so I have been wondering if anyone could throw me an example
Assuming my computers are all 20% acc. c0 + c1 / 2 + c2 / 6 + ... + cn / (n+n^2) 20 + 20 / 2 + 20 / 6 + ... + cn / (n+n^2) What does ... stand for? What does cn stand for? What does n stand for? Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: thezerg on May 14, 2007, 11:45:35 PM ... is a math term meaning that the formula goes on until it has reahed the number n. N represents the number of the shield in the system, ie: the 1st shield, the 2nd shield.... I assume that cn is the %.
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: SirAlucard on May 14, 2007, 11:51:31 PM okay, so I'm intending to run 3 or 4 computers at 20% each. How would I work that out?
20 + 20 / 2 + 20 / ? (n+3^2) 40 22 20 + 20 / 2 + 20 / 6 + 20 / ? (n+4^2) 40 22 26 I have no idea how you guys think 'n' is a number.... Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: thezerg on May 15, 2007, 12:24:51 AM here it is with 4
20 + 20/(1+1^2) + 20/(2+2^2) + 20/(3+3^2) 20 + 20/(2) + 20/(6) + 20/(12) 20 + 10 + 3 1/3 + 1 2/3 = 35% Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: SirAlucard on May 15, 2007, 12:51:08 AM See and now it's been written out like that my mind understands and can work with it, thankyou muchly!
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: Dont blame my main on May 15, 2007, 05:18:44 AM Thezerg you might want to look to your formula again as it is incorrect. I could now give you the correct formula but that would ruin the fun, right?
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: thezerg on May 15, 2007, 08:52:32 AM really, dang. Now I feel stupid. I hadn't used it to design anything yet...
Title: Re: Shield/Comp Stack Formula Post by: Dont blame my main on May 15, 2007, 10:37:53 AM Well try again and you might succeed in your attempt. L:)
