16  General Talk / Report Abuse / Re: LOI Abusing the bounty system on: March 11, 2007, 06:06:09 PM
I'm thinking that somewhere in this thread, theres a pot calling a kettle black.
I just hope that Emi will be able to sort all this out... and also take a careful look at that beforementioned pot.

Darkness I think you should direct your request directly to Frank.
18  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: Propsed Cease fire agreement for NAW and TH on: March 11, 2007, 04:27:24 PM
You should stop breathing, it doesnt seem like oxygen gets to your brain anyway.
19  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: Propsed Cease fire agreement for NAW and TH on: March 11, 2007, 02:40:12 PM
Once again you speak of things that you know nothing about, and indeed should just stay out of anyway.
Have you suddenly become a member of NAW or are you just trying to annoy me needlessly?
20  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: Propsed Cease fire agreement for NAW and TH on: March 11, 2007, 01:59:47 PM
Good advice, that i will surely make an effort to follow, thank you for your concern.
Ofcourse it so happens i took the bounty an hour and a half before any mention of a peace was on our board.   15

Frankly i find your attempts to sully my name rather tiresome, and i encourage you to find proof that i have ever attacked anyone during a peace negotiation. As for the bounty on wolfy, i just popped on to see if the anticipated counters had leveled me or not... As i saw they had not, I also noticed I could bounty wolfy, did so (blowing up only pships, so who cares), and logged off again.
I encourage you to stop trying to sully my name before I stop being slightly amused at your efforts, and start taking offence.
22  General Talk / General Discussion / Double Standards on: March 09, 2007, 04:52:40 AM
I think it is a bit amusing that Wolfy is yelling bloody murder, and because I think it is impolite not to share the fun, I provide the following for your reading amusement.

Log from my MSN on the day I negotiated a peace between naw and just about everyone that wanted them dead:

24-02-2007  17:02:55  Argus  wolfy28  We hereby wish to state that the recent hostilities between TH and Wolfy are at an end. We feel that the recent hostilities could have been avoided if not for a series of misunderstandings, propagated by a lack of communication. Therefore we pledge to try and solve our disputes at the negotiating table in the future, before resorting to weapons.
24-02-2007  17:02:59  Argus  wolfy28  yes... delete that
24-02-2007  17:03:06  Argus  wolfy28  how does that there look?
24-02-2007  17:03:54  wolfy28  Argus  sounds very good
24-02-2007  17:04:07  Argus  wolfy28  but just to cut to the chase ... what i am really hoping is that the two of us can at least talk to eachother before we start shooting at eachother or eachothers friends
24-02-2007  17:04:35  Argus  wolfy28  if the two of us stick together and talk things over, im sure we can both keep our friends much safer that either one of us could by blowing the other one up
24-02-2007  17:04:55  Argus  wolfy28  and thats basically what we both want
24-02-2007  17:05:05  wolfy28  Argus  yup
24-02-2007  17:05:23  Argus  wolfy28  or in 4 words: talk to me dammit!
24-02-2007  17:05:43  wolfy28  Argus  true i will agree qith that cuz i knew u would be pissed at what i was going to do to kry and i should have respected u enough to talk to u about it

Then heres something from after Wolfy once again felt he was in his good right to breach our agreement.

so that's why LOI kept pushing my buttons to prove u wrong for giving me a chance. and war would have been avoided if u would have not disappeared to play eve. but 2 days of waiting for u to get on was enough.

Then we should also remember that his attacks on LOI started two hours after he had givven them 24 hours to comply with his demands. So it seems that either someone pulled a prank on wolfy and reset his watch while he was looking away, or he once again felt he had a right to just pull a Pearl Harbour on someone.

Its also funny that Wolfy somehow expects me to live up to an agreement he himself breached. I even told him to his own virtual face that i considered it breached.

07-03-2007  17:56:38  Argus  wolfy28  you need to give people a way out
07-03-2007  17:56:50  Argus  wolfy28  and you need to stick to your agreements.
07-03-2007  17:56:56  Argus  wolfy28  or people wont trust you
07-03-2007  17:57:18  Argus  wolfy28  i for one wont be making any agreements with you anytime soon, seeing as you breached this one, as far as im concerned.
07-03-2007  17:57:20  wolfy28  Argus  i have him a way out easily the first time
07-03-2007  17:58:01  Argus  wolfy28  so there goes us being the United Nations of the top ten
07-03-2007  17:58:20  Argus  wolfy28  which is too bad, cause it did seem to be working for a brief while
07-03-2007  17:58:34  wolfy28  Argus  fair enough but next time specify the meaning when it was posted but a TH member it was taken as bring it to the table before attacking TH
07-03-2007  17:58:46  wolfy28  Argus  yup

As you can read in the first log clipping, I did specify it, mr Wolf is just having trouble remembering it.
So as you can tell, it all boils down to 'Do unto others as you would have them do to you'
Mr Wolf seems to like pearl harbouring people, which must mean he enjoys it immensely. Yet it seems that he did not enjoy it much when the tables were turned.

23  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: ATTACKS ON DDAY COMMANDERS on: March 08, 2007, 02:47:21 PM
Yeah that might be it... and though Ive been playing EVE I've been on SO and MSN also.. so I guess its mostly bad luck you failed to spot me.

Soppe, you may not have noticed, but we did not exactly back down from this fight. In fact its probably one of the more costly fights in the top ten for a very very long time.
I dont back down from fights, I just dont go looking for them either.
Heck, I can even comprimise (there was that word again) if its strictly necessary to get along with someone.
As long as I feel I can trust someone, I'm all for giving them a second or third chance.
But if someone truely wants a fight, well... Im not one to deny them one.
24  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: D-Day!!! on: March 08, 2007, 01:50:14 PM
Seems there was a bit of action left in the round after all....
25  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: ATTACKS ON DDAY COMMANDERS on: March 08, 2007, 01:31:13 PM
Perhaps now we can all see that it is too expensive to have wars when we could just talk it all over and perhaps learn to compromise.
Yes.
Compromise.
Its a difficult word, but I strongly urge everyone to get familiar with it.

All this could have been avoided if someone had not developed a sudden itch in his trigger finger, and made me look a fool for urging everyone to let him have a chance.
Everyone kept telling me that this person  would surely strike once he was strong enough, and in spite of his guarantees to the contrary, it turned out they were right.
Well, friend, I hope that perhaps now we can agree that it is much better when we can deal openly and fairly with eachother, instead of making the other one look like a fool for trusting him.

If we had all had that there word in mind... Compromise... then as i mentioned, this could have been avoided. As a general rule you dont make demands of others you would never agree to yourself, if the situation was reversed... thats the road that leads to shooting. Next, you dont go shooting at people right off the bat, when you have an agreement with someone else that you will talk to him before doing anything rash. Third, i think its a really bad idea to give someone a deadline, and then not living up to it... thats kinda bad form you know.
26  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: nexis (#25876) on: March 07, 2007, 01:53:30 PM
well... Im all for giving someone a second chance, as many people here can attest to, so could we get the nexis issue out of the world, give him a break (and not one in the airlock, please).

Other than that, I can only agree with charlemagne that losted, and all the other women out there, should wear skirts more often. Yes. Skirts! I vote for skirts! How are we men supposed to chase skirts if no one wants to wear them? Skirts dont just get up and walk by themselves you know... Women in shorts is a crime, when they could be women in skirts instead.

Also, they seem to provide ample cover against laserfire, judging from how people here react when they suspect someone might be taking cover behind someones skirts.

Hmm... perhaps i will have to issue skirts to half my marines and run some field tests.... see if they are better than power armour.
27  Feedback Terminal / "Bugs" and Problems / Re: Lag! on: February 28, 2007, 02:12:33 PM
I concur.
The lag is bad at times.
At times it is so bad that doing galaxy gets rediculous, and I start to read a book while im doing galaxy.
Considering we are supposed to have warp drives, things sure are moving slowly.
28  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: Serenity B on: February 25, 2007, 01:48:59 PM
Yeah Blakranger, I've forgivven you.

Lamma, its not that your recruit made a foul, its also that you refused to discipline him.
Refusing that must mean you condoned his actions.
Hence the black mark.
29  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: Serenity B on: February 25, 2007, 07:34:53 AM
I forgive.
I just never forget.
30  General Talk / General Discussion / Re: zilong on: February 25, 2007, 07:22:03 AM
Really guys... I see some of you who were opposed to boosting and demanded Emi 'fix' the market obviously have changed your stance on that matter. Pledging to do quite a bit of boosting yourself.
I dont mind that, I like zilly same as anyone.
But really... why should zilly be the only one to be allowed to be boosted?
If you all feel so strongly about giving zilly a boost, I think what you really should do, is petition Emi to put back the market like it was, that way everyone can boost anyone they want to their black hearts delight.
I dont think we need to make special rules here, one set of rules for all will do nicely.

Seems to me you have all shown that you do not oppose boosting, it was just the persons being boosted you were opposed to.
