maybe he had no ships and the other had 1-2 ships? the nr of segs depends on the number of ships

yes, less ships you have the less you take, so 1 ship may take anywere from 0-5 segs, were like 10000 ships can take 20-30 thousand segs or such, depeding on what seg count the have
