Well, I used the items structure to add the galaxy items, so it's possible they would take up cargo space. They are tied somehow, to the market, trade goods are also items, and in the fututre you could be able to sell on auction at player defined prices in certain min an max limits, prob the base price as the min price, and 10 x base as max price.
Please take notice as this has not occured to me when designing them, but if you go over 100% with trade goods and items, and they take up cargo space, you could lose some valuable items in battle if you are attacked for segments and lose warehouses...
