Hello, I'm commander Lupus Magnum, you may not know me because I'm trying to keep a low profile untill I manage to come up with the perfect ship design... Once that is accomplished i will make myself known, and nothing will stand in my way...

A perfect ship design exists not. Trust me, better men/women then you have tried and failed, going insane in the process (ok, maybe not insane, but they sure do get mad.)

okay, i may not be able to make the perfect ship, but i can build a pretty d**n good one, it's cheap and has alot of good stats

you dont need armor it sucks and is a waste of space

2 computers is good but you have to balance them, reamber that if the cost is 1000 that means you can raise the stats (1000= that it would orignaly be a - value)

you also dont need marianes, the pure size of the ship should cover that

you only need 1 powercore no more

3 sheilds is good, but once again you need to balance the cost of them, and a sheild should never have more than 8 space, there all engery to balance the cost

you only need 1 spshial witch is the bulk of your space and engery in the ship

and you only need 1 wepon, and they only require 1 space

here let me give you how to make a a ship

start with ship size for you its 1500000

then make a powercore, if you put aside lets say 8 space for 3 sheilds (8 space each) like 1000 space for computers (2 of them) 1 space for wepon and about 20k space for spshial you should end up with 1477975 space left, and thats how much youd but into your powercore, then you raise the engery of the powercore tell the cost of it is under 1000 (trust me it works) after than use 2/3rds of the engery to make a sphsial (you put what you want in then hits, defences and such) then you make a sheild pick a suitable amoutn per sheild in this case lets say about 30% then when you do is add you 8 space, and then put the sheild at 30%, then keep raising the requaried amout of engery tell it goes below 1000 (or lowering the amout of engery if it has a cost of 1000) then you make the computer 2 of them each with 1000 space get your deisered % id say anywere from a 10% - 15% bonos and add the engery tell it cost under 1000 (2x) then you use the remanding engery and that 1 space thats left to make a wepon, with about 50% acc and whatever attack you can get it to.

this isnt a perfect way to get a ship but it is a basic outline on how to make one, you may adjust things to your liking but its just a guideline for a beggingers ships, theres more complex stuff i other ships that your have to find out later

i usually try to balance everything out so that it gives me alot of bonuses but costs about a fraction of what it costs to buy a default upgrade, also i'm working on a ship thats about twice as strong as the one i told you about (otherwise i wouldent have told you because i like to keep my designs secret)  :to_keep_order: :vertag:

Why 8 space/shield?  It doesn't seem to have a lot of advantage over 1 space each, from what I looked at.  But then, I'm still a bit o' newb, despite my...ahem...extensive...experience  :))

as for lupus to get you strait before going off to make a new design... THAT SHIP SUCKS and that I POSTED HOW TO MAKE ONE if you follow the directions excally thats how to make a top line ship.. with thouse directions i could probaly make a ship thats 2-3 times better than what you made already

Lupus, he's up there BECAUSE he plays good, not because he designs good ships. The ships I design suck 9x out of 10, but I'm a top ten player because I know how to play the situations right. You should listen to lammalords advice, it will help you become a better player. And that post with nothing but smilies is spam. And BTW, I don't care if you're dropping in ranks on purpose, your not a good enough player to be acting all tough. Get some experience under your belt, and make the top 50 before you even THINK about talking smack.
