I know its a recently well debated topic, but I've been thinking how it can be removed or reduced from the game.

Most of the feeding occurs within alliances, so my solution would be that no attacks even planetary or station  can be made on a member of the same or truced alliance.
To stop people getting around this and dropping alliances..... for a period of, say 5 days after dropping from an alliance, players still wont be able to attack members of his/her's ex alliance.
Although this wont stop the issue it will greatly hinder it.
The taking of a planet and giving it to a fellow alliance member isn't a major  issue, or even building planets as the receipicant still needs to spend to place colonists on it and research planetary levels.

Sorry to start this debate up again, it comes out of my frustrations of seeing my ranking suffer because of this issue.

I can only echo Saturns comments.

Bizarrely feeding or being fed seems to be supported by the majority of players.

Thats the attacks I've witnessed.

I'm not necessarily puting all the blame apon you JB since its being going on amongst others throughout this round, but to see this shotly after I start the topic totally justifies my issues..

Emi, you have to look into this whole issue in the game more, it's just plain unfair. In fact it even puts your donations at risk as they dont need to donate anymore, just get fed.

Yeah its a crap part of the game right now and instead of rules being changed for the good on this situation it seems they have changed to allow more of this unfairness

This idea seem to be a good one to me.
Shouldn't even be too hard to put into the game.
Not attacking alliance members would be easiest by having an alliance have a permanent truce with itself.

Makes sense, 1 question though, would leaving the alliance break the truce?

Thats the more difficult part for Emi to implement, I would like the truce to still be enforced for a time period even if you leave an alliance.

I think this would fix a majority of feeding in the game, however not all feeding occurs between alliance mates..  it happened last round a few times

Curious,
I find the absence of responses for some of the more vocal participants on these forums to be quite revealing. Guess it sort of highlights who is involved in this issue really.  21

Or the fact some of us are from across the pond and you were posting before any of us woke up lol. I think excessive feeding is the real problem. I see nothing wrong with helping an alliance member if they got hit hard or stumbled a bit but people show no restraint and abuse it to the point I'd rather there be no raids at all. For example, DJ's being fed as stated before. What's my problem with this? He hasn't donated anywhere near what Wes has and yet he's being fed into a better position while also using his new credits to attack people lower in power than he is with tinies. I have nothing against Jbomb personally, but I dislike that style of play and see it as the true issue at hand. If someones gonna have the cash to be a not a very nice person with tinies, they d**n well better have earned the wealth themselves.

And for what it's worth, don't buy into the hype. I , personally, have only let people raid me 4 times the entire round and they barely got much of anything out of it bc of the previous changes made. Obviously the things emi has implemented to help the problem are working as the raid news posted earlier in this thread shows they've resorted to throwing out ships to try to boost the profits for the raider.

The updates made it better but still have not fixed it.  just because the raid giver has to put out ships, does not fix the fact that the raid reciever is getting a ton od credits that they did not earn.  In the words of Sir Emi, he thought it would stop free raids because the raid giver would not want to lose all of the money it takes to give a free raid, but obviously that is not right, as we have seen at least 5 free raids since the update came out
