Title: Weapons bug fixed

As some of you vets know, you could put a lot of low cost weapons on a ship and make a huge attack.

In previous posts, I've stated that this was another unintended side effect of the complex design scheme, and it will be fixed when I figure out a way to do it. I allways looked at it as a bug, (stressing the server and working around the intended deigning of ships)
I won't blame anybody for using it, just make sure you change tactics if you did use this one.

Enough of that, the bug is now fixed. For every 1 additional weapon you put on a fleet, you get a 1% penalty to attack on that fleet.

If you got fleets with more than 100 weapons on board, I suggest you sell some of them weapons, or you will find your fleet does only a small amount of attack, because of this fix.
There is no workaround this, it's not fair for the others that don't have the time to get 100 weapons in there, and 100 weapons like that, that cost 100 cr and weight 100 space? Hm, that has to cost more, or have a penalty, or else desinging is done for :)

nice fix.. i was going to say if it lowered you power... id.. ohhh... well i gess it didnt.. at least this means that power ships would still work (thank god)

lol Lamma, just saw your thing in the chat window about how your attack went from 8 mil to 500k :P

I think a few people are gonna wake up and be surprised tomorrow. :D

like it matter it was a power ship lol... 8mil attack with like 1000 of them would probly still do under like 800k damage lol.. now there do even less...but there the least of the worries of my fleets.. its the ships aftwards that everyone would hate

will this show up in the ship design or will you have to cal the -1% in your self?

and is it -1%acc or just -1% power off all weps put on it?

No my beatiful ship designs costed me hours to design :'(

This is going to cost me millions to sell these ships, ow no wait i got attack this night they all got destroyed with probably doing a negative attack as -147%

well I for one like it.  It was discussed before on the old forum and for those that I have assisted in designs I told you 1 weapon is better.  Roland has also supported the 1 weapon design so the writting has been on the wall for some time

I designed a weapon today,installed then viewed.It showed  a lose of power & it was the only weapon.I thought Emi said it would only affect weapons above 1.

well i still would like to know if it means 100 weps = -100% resulting in the attack power of 0.

I think that's what he meant Charlemagne, at least I hope so, because a lot of powerships use a lot more then 1 weapon design, and if this reduced thier power, then that would eleminate a whole type of ship, or at least, nearly eliminate it.

lol emi thanks for this game but this update totally screwed all my fleets.
