Just a few things ive been thinking about, and the answer to the above question is no i wont give up with the mad idea's.
Station Protection, i think that if your allied with another alliance, you should be able to gain the benifits from there stations (cloaking, fleets etc. etc.), otherwise it is only really a cease fire order.
Permenant Alliance, its really anoying having to renew the alliance every few days, why can't a no time alliance be added?
More to come soon! (maybe)

i would like to see more alliance options as well.. maybe more than just a leader.. like co leader, and so on.. give other people some responsibilities too since the leader of the alliance cant always be online, and why not a private message section of the alliance only allowed to certain members about battle tactics or wars going on or whatever

co leader idea is great
a while ago i suggested an alliance sticky, i still think that would help a lot

To do away with permanent alliance and station protection, I will merge the ideas- make a corporation, a gathering of alliances. The leader will be voted from the alliance leaders. As for stickys and private messages- I would love to see stickys, but isn't it just easier to organise your own forum? There are so many free ones, http://www.forumotion.com/ is the best in my understanding. There is just so many cool things to customise about it.

Yes but off-site forums are a hassle and most people aren't willing to use them (Myself included)

i could use a co leader, god knows, but it could cause other problems, because in the end - THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE (leader)

If you are going to make permanent alliances truces you should also have a truce board just like the alliance board for inter alliance chat. As for off site forums it's hard enough to get members to read the ones on site plus those of us on dial up mostly hate haveing to have more than one site open at a time it slows you down and you aint fast to begin with.

The corporation idea would help me alot (see The Federal Imperium in so wars stances ) it would also mean that weaker allainces wouldn't be picked on by the stronger ones cause someone in there corp would just blow em up.

Why dont we have it to where it sends a notification when your truce goes out to you know to renew it, and probably a notification when the truce is broken and someone attacks an ally instead of them just paying for it with no one knowing :p

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
