I believe the missions multiplyer has been a great success for SOWARS - although in the short term its all but halted PvP at the top end on the ladder.

Due to the relative ease (compared to the old method) of collecting segs from missions - new players might be given a leg up by starting new players with a higher encrypt level.

Starting new players with a higher encrypt level will allow them to quickly collect segs, and build up to enter the competitive end of the game.

At this stage Id suggest you could start out new accounts with an encrypt on 150 to 250 or so, that will get them quickly into the game.

250 is a lot
what starting player would have a ship good enough to do a 400 mil fp contract.
maybe a starting encryption of 10 or so would be good
250 is just way too high.

Well, maybe 150 is high?  Still - some starting bonus is good I think - 10 is kind of a joke though.  You need it to be meaningful.

I guess 10 would be a reasonable starting level...

im 250 as well
also, level 1-10 missions can be done with trainee fighters, ships that most new players use. level 150s still have significant fp. it would just make ppl that dont understand the game lose mroe ships and gain nothing

Until you get in the mid 300s you get the same number of segs per mission so all it would do is have new guys loseing ships faster than they can replace them, they do a 10x at level 1 they get 500 segs just like the guy who does it at 10 or 300 and a 10x raises your encrypt level faster anyhow so they are still gonna lose ships faster than people who started before the multipier, it would be more helpful in my opinion to just drop the level of encrypts that give you useable items down to level one instead of making them wait till level 10, and perhaps double the starting size of the mothership maybe even 4 times the size then they can make money slightly faster at the start and it won't penalize people who have worked hard at getting their encrypts up.
