Well, recently, i wanted to experiment with marines and boarding other people's fleets.

and after a bit of testing, i figure you get a 1:50 or 1:51 space to marine ratio.

I made three pods each at cost 3:
P1   Wt: 1, Marines: 51
P2   Wt: 100, Marines: 5,001
P3   Wt: 20000, Marines: 10,000,001

So actually, it's better to get a shedload of small marine pods than one huge one? is this right?
Because I figure if you got 20,000xP1s instead of 1xP3, you get 10,200,000, which is 199,999 more marines.

Has SirEmi not done any scaling for marines or... is it meant to be just like that?
It does make marine pods or designing them pretty redundant, doesn't it?

This is not meant to be a flame or anything, I'm just wondering if it's going to be improved at some point in the future...

It's suppose to be like that, because marine pods have a fatal flaw, you get through their defence, and all you have do do is a bit of damage to the hp and you wipe out a lot of ships.

Look at it this way.

How much is your 20000-weight pod?  3 credits, and it holds 10,000,001.

And your 1-wt?  3 credits, holds 51.

But 196079 1-wt marine pods (which total 10000029 marines) costs 588237 credits (not 3 credits).

A marine pod where it weighs 20000 and holds 1020000 costs 66.000, and a marine pod weighing 1/10 as much (2000), and holding 1/10 as much (102000) costs 1/10 as much (6.600), so 10 of the smaller = 1 of the larger.

Right. That makes some sense, i guess. Just thought it was a little weird since everything else miniaturised majorly as space increased, but thanks for answering both of you.
