Title: SO Elite new rounds change to 14 days

Congratulations to the winners of the last SO Elite round!


For the new round, there will be some changes to make Elite server more interesting and well, more Elite :)


The rounds will have 14 days, DDAY warning will start on day 13, so total round time will be 14 days + 1 day of DDAY.

The extra day for DDAY will make sure the round ends in different week days.

Prizes for top 10 every two weeks:
Gold days: 60, 30, 30, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14

      
Other changes:
- less salvage from PvP for defender and some other changes discussed to make it harder

14 gold days isnt a reward... thats only 1 round... regardless of how few people play.

Agreed.. It should be a 30 day as the bottom few I reckon.. Should be 100, 60, 50, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30 in my opinion. More rewarding so makes people more willing to play I reckon

Honestly, the only reason anybody played that server was for the gold accounts. Just got 2-3 accounts decently fp'd and then quit. And there was maybe 10 people. Dunno how many there'd even be now.

I might as well throw my suggestions here. Blitz round, right?

Make missions player specific, so each person has their own pool. Remove segment missions. Double the amount of available missions. 1 hour spawn tick, so all missions replenish often. x5 or x10 experience gained doing anything. Start players off with a 10-20% discount. Reduce chance of ships exploding in board attacks. Remove turn amount cap, and any new players get the amount of turns that'd be normally gained by a player across the round -10%. Possibily make it x2 turn growth like borg suggested ages ago (for all you math wiz's out there, that's 2 turns a minute). Make maximum fleets allowed to be out 10 or less perhaps (removes completely pshipping up), not allowed to reserve with a counter on you. Fix the bug that reserving fleets gives you more total assets.

Those, my friend, are some very good suggestions and I back them 100%. However, I'm new to elite so my opinion isn't as developed as some :P

If it's blitz, we should get more turns and XP, I agree. I don't mind the amount of missions there are now. I like the way that is actually.
