dont have much cash to spend but i bought something from the market.

have put it up for about 6times now and if i go any lower i will lose money than rather making it..

also havent seen a Buy offer in hours either so am i just unlucky or did the market just gave me a bad deal lol./

CHOAM can rip you off right proper is you are not well-acquainted with the nuances of the market, but as a rule of thumb, I never buy something unless I'm sure I can sell it, as well as make a profit off of it.

CHAOM will not gain you money 9 times out of 10. You're better off avoiding the market if you can. Especially this early, later on it'll get better, but right now you'd have to get lucky to profit.

Yes, this early, that's VERY lucky, most people barely manage a 3-6mil profit around now. Congrats.

And get lucky lightseeker. It is hard to make a good profit, if any, off the market. CHAOM is as greedy with money as a CEO.

I agree with lightseeker. Those who persist in playing the market will succeed and make a lot off profit. I myself, have never lost anything on the market, I allways make profit. It is possible to get about 17% profit on the items just by trading with the CHOAM. All you need to do is buy something.  :12:
In comparison, if you would just stash all your credits in your secret base then you will get 2 to 3% (without gold account and without investment off command points) every 24 hours. While with the market, you will get at least 15% profit every hour  (at max 2 hours).

So all who thinks that the market sucks should really first have a better look at it before saying such stupid things.  :thumbsdown:

I didn't say it sucks, but there is luck involved. If you pick a bad time, you won't make a 15% profit.

Well, then I must be really lucky, because I allways make 15% profit.
As far as I can tell, the market currently has nothing to do with luck.
You should check it, compare the prices off everything the choam sells to what the choam offers to buy it. You will see that the choam allways buys at a greater price than the price at which he sells.

Sir Emi, I'm kinda hoping you could clarify these things concerning the market and tell me whether I'm right or wrong. I think it would really help a lot off people.

I have made a profit since the market started.  If you read the guide you will see how to do the market.
also Choam list the the max price on the sell offers. That is not the min bid

I did read the guide, but CHAOM takes a bit too much luck for my liking. I prefer sticking to biofarms and missions.

I know this is off-topic, but where did they come up with the name CHOAM???

I know, I think it might be off a tv show of some sort.

its easy, u buy goods for decent prices in the sell offers section, u wait till choam offers on them on the buy offers section (which might take time), and when it does, u claim the offer  L:)

it is easy just put them up for 10% more than you paid.  it might take a few times but Chump will buy it

Hey guys, I've only been playing for a couple days so I may have no idea what I am talking about, but from what I've seen it is almost impossible to lose profit in the market unless there is a lot of competition. Overall when I first started in the market I got a lot of profit and from basically no effort. No matter what CHOAM always buys from you for a profit amount. Sure the percentage of profit drops as you get richer, but I've never seen any below 10%. Eg. The cheapest is paper, which CHOAM starts the auction on at minimum bid 535,000 credits for 1,000,000 units (on the "sell" market). You bid on that auction for the cheapest price that and then you sell it back to CHOAM at the "buy" market for 3,000,000 credits for 1,000,000 units. That's a 560% profit (just for paper, as goods get more expensive profit obviously goes lower and lower, but never exceeds <10% from what I've seen).  Btw never buy products that are under 1,000,000 units, it is very annoying to sell them back, if you have done this I would just force sell them and start over. But then again I'm just a noob so you can disregard everything I've said.

Ok, I think I got it sort of figured out. You just have to buy anything (undisputed items are much better) and then add to your unit price 10-15%, depending on how you feel. You can even resell it at the same price you bouth it for and you'll probably get some 5% profit in the first try.
