If a player wants to make numerous fleets of the same ship, then they should be able to do so without having to install all the systems over and over again.

no, I think he means cloning fleets you already designed yourself...
personally, it sounds like a good idea, just make it that cloning is open to everyone, but the database to all ships and systems is only limited to gold, until then, you are limited to only the ships and systems you have yourself...
of course, this is really suggested and denied already, and is a gold account option, so...

yea, it won't work, cause some hacker would use it to get a bunch of other people's designs. Good idea though.

lol seither, then they can already do it, they just need to pay 20$ in advance I think he is saying be able to clone ONLY the fleets you already have, nothing more. while you could board other peoples ships and do it that way, you would get the ship partially, then you would still have to try to reverse engineer it

Just to clear up any confusion on what I meant... I mean that if you have a fleet made, and have installed all the weopens etc, you should be able to make another identical with the same weapons etc added on. Cause say if you have a ship with 50 weapons, you don't wanna go through adding them on everytime you make a new fleet

50? I have a ship I had to put on all 120 weapon systems + the powercore. and a normal ship normally has... well, let's see... 15-16 systems each ship. ranging from everything except armour and marines. lol. but yeah, while helpful, I doubt it will actually go in, as it is still a gold feature. btw, does anyone know, if you clone your own ships, if you get royalties from supplying your own ships?? I kinda doubt it, unless you use a multi, but then again, you never know... lol

Here's proof you DO get royalties off yourself:
Royalty action credits remaining resupply +0 0
that is your answer.

I think it was 0 because he just cloned a 1 space ship... can't be for sure though. but I wouldn't doubt it if you got non, be to easy to get a free amount of credits off of ship re-supplying in addition to the 20% already there.

Well, either way, you shouldn't get credits off of cloning your own fleet.
I mean, your basically paying yourself and gaining money in the process.
