About the generals and wars comment...
Sure, your reputation would go down if you didn't "win" a war.  But what happens if you don't lose any troops anyway?  Does your reputation still plummet because you only killed 10 of the enemy while losing no soldiers, and both sides withdrew?  I hesitate to think so.

There are a few cases of this, and I pointed out some of them some time ago.  I just didn't bother to look back to see if it was fixed.

Even if we were to eliminate alts, how would we do the elimination?  My main account is originally an alt, and my favorite alt is probably my lowest-power account.

Alts are very useful for being able to test strategies and ideas without completely screwing over your main account; a way to explore an attacking strategy without making everyone hate your main account; a way to provide guidance to others via alliances; a way to play the game more if you enjoy it enough.

Alts are bad because you could conceivably pick on someone with an alt, and have no counters on your main account (note: this would require a very active alt to begin with, and those whom this hurts would likely be hurt by other players anyway).  Alts are bad because you can scout the galaxy with them, saving your main account precious turns (which can be done with friends anyway).

Alts are, overall, good.

I think that the idea of having only 1 account able to be signed in at a time would help to improve the issue at hand (galaxy scouting).  The other issue is not as much of an issue, as you are playing the account as a completely separate entity.  I don't mind when one of my accounts gets hit by Skum Bag, or any other alt.  The alt is being played as a separate player would play it.

I've noticed it, too.  I just figured that if you wanted lots of segments from missions, you were supposed to do harder (read: higher %) missions.

ars, all it shows you is their ID#, the name, and their power.

It does not show a lot of the truly important info...ship count, alliance, segments.

edit: plus, it would help newer commanders to find a wider range of targets to attack...sometimes, everyone is nebbed that you can see.

Well, that's where you use the support thingy.

However, it doesn't tell you how many segments or ships the person has.  For instance, the player could have 104 segments and 50 million power, in which case you know a counter is pretty much going to fail.  Or the person could have been 0'd, and the segments are free to take (or, the base is free to raid).  There are important things that the support feature doesn't tell you that are handy to know.

True, willem, that your suggestion wouldn't use your own power.

HOWEVER, it does give the advantage to the higher players because anyone that's new will get less for voting than someone who played the whole round.

Except, Crazy, that people can already do that if they want.  And it's already something bad to do.

And you wouldn't have to be in the same alliance to transfer funds, it's just that alliance members are the most common target for funding.

When you force sell/buy items in the market, the lowest item remains checked (not all of the checkboxes become cleared when the page loads).  This can lead to accidental force-purchase of an item (or sale).

I don't know if it does this if you arrange the items by all items, but I do know it does this if you are viewing your items (selected from the dropdown menu).

And yes, those things would be quite handy.

And how about being able to buy all marines when you have a discount (by this, I mean, if you have 400 credits, and 5% off of marine costs, you should be able to buy more than 400 marines at a time)?

He said more you vote, not the higher your own power.

But it still gives the leaders more of a lead (aww...he gets 1000 times more from voting than I do...).

On missions, the enemy ships hit you as many times as they're hit, if I recall correctly.

But even if the ships have just 11 space (and I'd imagine they have more), that's still over 76 mill worth of fleet power you're facing (10 hp = 10 atk = 1 power, right?).  Although, I do remember that the ships don't take the swarm bonus into account for power when the server is deciding how many to send.

That's a lot of power for you to face.  Especially since so few people even have that much power total in this round.
