Forum - Space Odyssey MMORPG - a massive free online space game

Most of the older players have heard of them, a few of the newer ones have. The Forgotten Ancients was a legendary alliance from the beginning of space odyssey who dominated all, back when the game was (for lack of a better word) primitive and had none of these special features it does now. They are still around today, but they don't have thier former glory. If you look in the alliance rankings, after a while you see this:

What happened to them you ask?

Well, for reasons I do not know (though others might) they were broken up, many of thier members joining other alliances. Two memebrs that I have seen are Alex (#0022) and Mr. Timber549 (#0298), both who are still active and powerful.

The Forgotten Ancients have, for the most part, been forgotten. They may be legendary, but they have been reduced to a mere shadow of thier former glory.Which leads me to my point (Hurray!) It's time for the "New" (relative term here) legendary alliances to be announced (that is, from my point of view, these aren't official, though it would be cool if we could somehow make them that way) Here they are, 10 of them, in the order I believe they should be in (I've taken in account age, power, and achievements and tried to create an equal balance, so please, don't flame me about it unless you have a valid reason):

1. Aeternal_Light (Main Reason: Though old, have managed to be in the top ten every round (to my knowledge)).
2. Teufel Hunden (Main Reason: Somewhat old, in round before the last one, had almost every member in a slot in the top ten, and has never had more then 8 members in their alliance at one time.)
3. G-Unit (Main Reason: Same age (give three days older) as the Teufel Hunden, managed to be near top ten, take complete control of top ten for a period of time longer than two days (last round) and managed to defeat the UEA, and had the highest amount of members ever until the limit came to be (I believe it was 66 members.))
4. UEA (Note: The UEA is know known as the UEA "Reborn")(Main Reason: This old/new alliance had successfully fought several alliances at once while still managing to climb the rankings, also (this did not affect the placement in any way, shape, or form) the only alliance to have it's leader abandon them (Note: War_Knight did not abandon G-unit, he planned to return. Why he did not do this is unknown, so he is MIA))
5. Dooms Day Defenders (Main Reason: Having the one of the highest power levels to ever be seen (though it was reset) and for swaying many prominant members of other alliances to join them.)
6. Space Balls Alliance(Main Reason: For having been one of the most stealthy alliances around, attacking with precise skill and timing, and coming back from counters like they were nothing.)
7. Flying Tigers (Main Reason: Having held a top ten position for a while, used counters to decimate their enemies)
8. Azezul (Main Reason: Besides being hell to deal with when they were at their peak, they were the first alliance to refuse to ally themselves with anyone, and who sought to fight with everyone.
9. The Friar's Missionaries (Main Reason: The most peaceful alliance to ever exist, they fought with very few people, though when they did, they were formidable.)
10. Silent World (Main Reason: Actually, the only reason is that they are incredably old and still have a high ranking.)

ok it wasnt for long but somwere on that lengdary comander list there needs to be Sin15698 you may of not seen it (he was reset) but he mananged to totaly surpass wizards top score by far..

if you want to put in something about the glitch he used to do it look at the new fourm

Sin got the higest score ever to be seen in the game and should get some credit for that... if this list were like 30 ppl he would be like 30-25th just for the feat of setting the new highest power record ever

Ok, I'll add him to the Exceptional Commanders category (It's a list for those commanders who did somthing amazing, via bug or what not, but couldn't make the actual list due to not having done enough amazing things, ect.) I hope to have that list out soon, but I have a lot on my plate right now, I've got my graduation tests in a week. So i have to do SOME studing, lol.

That's what I am doing. It is tsking a while, cause I'm trying to research a lot of the commanders who have been here a while without directly talking to them so I can get an accurate account of what they have done. I hope to have it up soon.

I'm afraid I don't know many of your accomplishments, besides being fairly high ranked.

I am quite of new to the game but for the top position i propose Lightseeker_eu, for beeing the highest rankt player, has a history in SO and also for helping out newbs like me  ;D

Lightseeker is an exceptional player, and very quiet.  That scares the bejesus out of me sometimes.  IMHO were all playing for second place.  And i do mean all of us.

lightseeker is set to take 1st or 2nd, I still have a bit of research to do.

no lamma, you haven't achieved enough sadly. I'm going to have to take in account the events of D-Day now, so that'll set me back a little longer *crowd groans* I know, I know, but I'll work hard after this week (Graduation tests, have to study, and I am not researching two things at once, don't want to be answering questions on the tests with facts abot SO commanders, lol.) to get it up. So fear not, you will have a chance to yell at me for being stupid for not puting you guys on for *insert reason here* soon!

This has to be the biggest lie in history lol. Sin didnt get the highest score ever . . I did . . . and I owned sin on more then one occasion when he discovered the bug . . . Granted YES he did discover the bug, but i bleep smacked him hardcore . . . I DOUBT anyone has done as much damage to other commanders as me over time . . . AND in single attacks . . . So saying your little brother was the highest . . . nice way to suck up to your brother, but a bad way to lie in public when the person who went above your brother is still around Lamma . . . .

Nicholas, I've asked around, many people have said he achieved higher then you. I'm going to take thier word over yours for now, until more evidence surfaces, that's how it goes.

It is true that Nicholas achieved a greater total power level than Sin15698, but once he had demolished Sin's fleet completely, Sin had the higher base power.

Well, I already attributed the higest power ever to sin, so it's set in stone, Nicholas already got a mention.

yes, there is still suggestions, as this list is what is called an active list. It will change as the game progresses and alliances die, grow, and do stuff.

Base power has nothing to do with highest power .  Base power just means he did 4 more missions to cap out his secret asteroid base (workers and stash) and his cash on hand . . I wasted all mine buying ships like crazy =-P And the fact that I demolished his fleets contradicts the theory that he had a higher power then me because we used the same exact ships that got bugged.

So why is a lie set in stone? Hah, all this BS amuses me . . Makes me glad im leaving

Because no one is backing you up on this duo, while I've had people telling me sin DID have the highest power. So until other people say something to me, more then for sin, he has it.

i would also like to mention that the original Uea is "237 Day(s)" old, but either way ill take wat ever age from the original uea to our current uea reborn

Smee, your alliance's age wouldn't affect your placement, since you guys held your own against nearly 5 of the best alliances attacking you at once, and were in rank 4 I believe till your disbandment. Tha is the main reason you are on the list.

Im pretty sure Emi has a database backup of the events to prove who really had the higher power, but we both know emi wont do jack poop that would benefit me at all so its pointless to argue with you.

oh mabey you should do a little editing to changed it around so ppl wont get confused with "this round"  "last round" when it was really now "last round" and "the round before that"

I found two old alliances today, two VERY old alliance, they are as old as Space Balls and Silent World:

ah, but are they still active?  if they are, kudos to them, they should be in top 10 sometime like the rest of us.  but if they joined then quit, well, so?

Shakbar United is inactive, but Brothers of War currently ranks 50th.

This IS a current list Lammalord, it's called an "active list" which means if an alliance has proven themselves good enough, they can get on this list at any time.

there just to point a few out.. that can be confuseing.. people would think wait... Gunit never held the hole top 10 for 2 days this round... think about it

you might also want to note that TH has also never have more than 8 members, for more than a few minutes.  and unless something in the game changes drasticly will always have 8 members

ok there is an alliance missing that had great power at one time and the name of it has elluded me until now sir luffy we are missing the great alliance "The Fallen Angels" lead by TrevLite they were there during the gunit uea wars and mistourisly left our galaxy never to be heard of again. and luffy if u still have archived the old forums u will see his name in it

Yes, they are an old alliance, and I remember them well. They weren't amazingly great players, but they were good enough to be one hell of a pain in the ass.

These two alliances, along with Silent World and Spaceballs, are officially the oldest alliances in the game.

Charlemagne, I had picked out the oldest alliane that was actually powerful. Forgotten Ancients was the strongest of the alliances then, no one stood in their way, lol. But now that hey are bak, i have to add that to my renovations list.

I wasn't even aware you'd already picked an "oldest alliance".  Lol.  I just put it down because they technically ARE the oldest...  regardless, the only active one is Silent World.

Zeph, Silent World is, as e and g are in it (though both are Emi's accounts). But lol, i do thank you for the help Charlemagne.

Oh, I'm aware they are inactive, but I saw this thread and was also bored, so I decided to dig up every alliance that was more than 570 days old.

LOI broke records two rounds in a row. LOI is a legend and always will be

dosnt really matter if you break records once or twise.. just like space balls is nearly fogotten yet it was the best allaince of its time.. noone reambers them because of HOW the treated people not in space balls..

you dont get reambered for the achivements, you get reambered for how you achived them

I remember at one stage Space Balls were pretty much owners of the universe.
