Well, i agree, i miss the old items. However, even if getting marketable items is the purpose, at least give more than one item. It's spooky to get 1 carbon in a mission. Make that 1000 carbon or something. I wouldn'nt mind to get for example 100 high tech scanners in a 2% mission, as an example.

I like everything i saw. That changes the game strategy quite a bit, but i'm not sure how much. Are starbases going to influence the overall power?

Well davey... i am a LOI member ever since WoS was disbanded, and i did that because some of my former WoS allies joined LOI.

For me is not a matter of beeing a fan, it's just a matter of principle. What was proposed here, banning or resetting all LOI members, needed an answer, because it was waaaay to much. I bet you don't know half the members of LOI, and what they did or not...

I have seen a 2000+ active users MMO completly wreked by "banning" issues, because the game masters were unable to fix bugs, and tought banning is the way. So they banned a few players, and then they included IP bann, and then class IP bann,  and they ended up banning like crazy. Afther a while ALL old players left,because the fun was gone and that game was deserted. They had two servers with 470 players online each (2 servers 100% full), and they ended up having rarely more than 10% in one server. Banning is a extreme measure, should be used in extreme cases. Every MMO has a community, and hate and simpaty are part of this deal. However if you chase out some members, their friends go with them, and their friends too... it's a bad choice.

I NEVER cheated, in no game i have ever played, because cheats make games too easy, and less challanging... and i don't intend doing-it here. I did'nt even get a gold account in most mmo's i played for the same reason, it would make the game to easy 4 me. Ask anyone if i ever asked 1 credit in this game from anyone.

Even if i would have been in another alliance, even at war with LOI, my opinion would have been the same in this matter.

With this answer my responses in this topic are over. I said all i had to say.  12

Joe every round someone finds a bug and usually its the same person who abuses it, or the same people weird huh???, the quote you put in, read the post before from argus i was referring to that so quote him not me...i shouldnt have said ban more like reset to be more precise

There are some people there in the top who know things about this game most players, including myself, don't dream of. That's not cheating, that's beeing a good skilled player. And banning somewone or resetting them for beeing good players, who take care and use every detail of he game in their advantage is totally wrong. As far as i know usually cheating is something else, is messing with the software using hacks tehniques, and do on. And remember all palyers involved were in top 10 or close, and it takes money, skill and time to get there.

A new simple ideea:

Could encryption missions that a player cannot de-crypt be filtered out of the list he can see?

I would like to see only the missions that i can do, so i won't have to browse endless pages of "You do not have the required encryption level for this mission!" Right now i have a encrypt of 702 and the top mission encryption is 1657. So if i want to raise my encription level either i seek half a galaxy to find a 702 mission either i browse 30-40 pages of useless pages.

I was about to speak almost a page about what i feel about this. About my feelings I will just say LOL, i am amazed again how far people passion can go in a game. Some people need to chill, have a break, have a kitte-kat, it's just a game... it's all about having some fun. If needed i can provide some nice jokes and comics sites.

Banning 19 players of LOI  3. Well, maby bann averyone has read this topik, because they all know  now 3. I was not  watching the top players moves, because i was busy doing missions. I have read about all this in the forum. My guess is that more then half of LOI members were offline during all this, so the bann you propose has really no logic at all. My guess is that is just another "bully out of alliance" strategy. However all the dispute was solved already by Sir_Emi.

All games have bugs... the one thing i like about this server is that bugs get solved, people move along, dday comes... everybody has a new chance to prove their skills. I hope it remains the same.

I have to support cameron on saying that.

You are all accusing LOI, but i have seen LOI and LOI members beeing provoked on the forum, in chat, or messages all the time.

All those bountyes done are a trick learned during this war by watching our enemies ways and actions, so i consider them justified by self defence. What's wrong in seeing what others do and doing-it better then them? I was not involved, i have done no so called "illegal bountyes", but my opinion is that there is nothing wrong using the superior understanding of the game to beat others.

Oke, it was a way to exploit a glitch in the bounty system, it was corrected by Sir Emi, bug-obtained advantages were punished. This way the game was improved... and that's all. And i have seen pre-aranged bounties done all the time, long before i was in LOI... I remember other people giving me messages at the beginning of the round "please reserve your main fleet, let me bounty you, and i will reimburse your loss trough market" so this was going for a looong time actually.

I would be actually glad to see someone donating 1000 usd or more to buy a ship in the game. If there would be enough of those we would have SO in 3D with battle simulations in no time...   12, and we who like to play for free would be assured this would remain a free game forever.  12

As far as i am concerned i don't see myself any better then most active players. I just spent most time then others playing this round, that's all. I play 4 fun... hope you do the same.  17

1. ITEMZZZZ
It would be nice to be able to use a different selection method for itemz, like checking more than one item at once.
Scrapping or selling items i dont't want (such as 1 mining time or 1% bonus whatever).
If scrapping or selling is not a option, at least sort that items by bonus (starting with the higher bonus), i have no patience searching pages and pages of items to find a decent one.

2. Missions order
I am now around 400 encrypt level. I dont't have much time to play and i would love to be able to search missions of a certain level in a easyer way. I have to browse missions forever (between 150-900) to find a suitable one. Some better sorting of missions would be lovely. And besides, if at a certain point i would want to choose only credits or workers missions i have to browse a lot of pages again.

3. The nav computer
It's useless because if i would log a system i want to come back to, when i come back there are different encounters than memorised, and resources may as well be harvested. It may be usefull if systems where data changes would be automaticly erased from the nav computer, but i guess that would be very complicated to do. A simpler way to clear useless data from Nav-computer would be to automaticly erase systems logged afther 24 hours.

4. Helping others
It would be usefull to be able to help people by transfering ships or at least some credits. That would make alliances much more usefull and valuable. In case of war, sometimes it's useless to be allied with top players since they are too far to help you in any means. So if top players start a war, the lower level players are massacred and cannot be reinbursed in any way. A more complicated way to help alliance members would be to lend protection ships who are just acting as a sort of reinforcement in case of attack of a alliance member in case of declared war (see 5). Those ships would not be usable in missions, or attacks, but just act as a defensive screen (however susceptible to capture or kill by attacker). In order to avoid self helping (helping alts) transfers frome same IP should be impossible, or something like that. I remember some wars we had, against a waaay less powerfull alliance and they concentrated their attack on the lowest ranking members of the alliance, and we could do almost nothing to help him. My smallest active ship (10% of my flag-ship) would have made him almost untouchable. And besides, that would make alliance strategy a much more versatile tool, since an attacker would never know where the defences are situated.

5. Diplomacy
It would be nice to have a war sign just like the truce sign... that would sometimes help avoiding misunderstandings. A war declaration should be issued by the alliance leader just like the truce, but require no acceptance. Also war would be automaticly be declared afther two attacks from another alliance members (bounties and retaliations not included). Official wars would be nice to appear in the alliance window so that other alliance could know that an alliance is in war with another alliance. War could be stopped only by ceasefire agreed by both alliance leaders.
Some degree of diplomacy upgrade would be nice anyway, like war/neutral/truce/alliance, and the active stances (except neutral) would be inice to appear in the alliance window (the one that opens in Ranking). Would be nite to see alliances and truces and wars appearing as events... written in blood red  laugh "X-Alliance declared war to Y-Alliance" and peace "X-Alliance has made peace with Y-Alliance"

6. Encounters... are to few... and i dont't understand how you get to see them.

7. How can a ship 1.000.000.000.000.000 size have 0 hp? In a future version may be a good ideea to give some hitpoints by default according to size, and maby reduce the effect of the specials in the direction of HP. Besides, as designing has evolved very few designs are still using the armors (some swarmers only). Marine pods are also rarely used.

Just some toughts, not quite suggestions... How can a ship with one weapon hit 10 targets at once? Weapons have ranges and specifics. High explosive weapons have area damage, penetration rounds have point attack and penetration capability.... So, thinking, in the matter of superships and swarmer ballance, a supership should have (realistic, not in game) some strong attack weapons with longest range possible, and some medium and small range attack but high rate of fire to fight off small ships. So i would introduce two types of weapon on each ship, long range attack (effective against large targets) and close defence (effective against swarm-attack type). But in therms of the game this is probably to complicated to implement. Besides, in war, crippled ships tend to retreat, if possible. You may want to consider types of weapons in terms of penetration damage. A penetration weapon would always hit regardless armor, but have a smaller or no efficiency against large numbers of targets, and a High Explosive type of weapon, which is effective against armor only if individual ship armor is smaller than 20% of the damage, but is able to hit more targets at once. So, probabbly swarmers would use penetration and numbers, HP ships would use HE and huge firepower.

Just to make things right. I know nobody from WoS who leaved the alliance because of that punny war. It was entirely NS's decision, and it is his right as he was the leader and founder of the alliance. You guys managed to hurt only the lower rank members of the alliance, but they were refunded by us easily.
Don't pet yourself on the back to much, because you did'nt manage to strike any fear.

Peace... until it's war again.

Nevertheless, if tha attacked has no ships at all when under attack, then i agree a battle report is not necessary in full.

I would like very much to see the whole battle report if attacked by somewone, not just the statistics, and in a message so i can keeep-it. It's not realistic that afther an attack i cannot see the battle report just as the attacker.
