hmm.....not a bad idea, but I'd say make the max 80% of your money back, 97% is too much.

I can't say much on how other commanders will take this though, a couple ideas somewhat similar to this one have been shut down.

but with 80% u would get the amount u spent on the ship with 20% off so u would basicly get the same cash u bought the ship for i think

no monkey, because you only get back 80% of what you spend, so if you get say, 50% off, then you only get back 80% of 50%.

I actually like this idea. Instead of a set % that you get back when you sell a ship, you could easily do this:
I would call this skill Merchant Charisma because your charisma in most RPGs has to do with sell cost, how well you interact with NPCs and the sort and because you work with merchants.

(Ship Cost * Line Assembly percentage) * Merchant Charisma

The only problem I see right off the bat would be Say someone had 0 line assembly, bought a ship then increased their line assembly. When they sell the ship, they wouldnt get the price they should have gotten from the purchase price

Or someone has a gold account, 20% off already and has a huge line assembly but no merchant charisma. Then gets high merchant charisma and decides to sell the ship. Wait, that would work.

Only one problem I see so far!
