1) it was on topic
2) it was in 18+ section
3) not against the letter of any fkn rule
4) You could have broadcast that in a number of countries, only so much being visible.

Llama banned me, not because I broke the letter of any rule, but because he wanted to.
Justice prevails: I'm back.

p.s. gwar is playing tonight about 3 miles from my home. I can't go because I have to work, and I can't call out because I need to pay off the credit card bill I racked up playing spaceo obsessively.

If this is the full log... you only did 100 bill damage to the station. The station only did 1,450,000,000 damage?

And supposing the station actually did 80 billion damage....

1- (1,450,000,000 / 80,000,000,000) = 0.98........ or 98 percent absorb.

Am I absolutely missing something about the way stations do and take damage?

No way it was kamis - that would have been too expensive.

That formula would actually cause the cost to go up. When you divide by a number less than one, you increase your result.

maybe price would have been a better word than cost. But yeah, you can buy ships thost cost more than your actual budget would otherwise allow, and that's the point.

Yeah, but attack and hitpoints end up costing at least 1.25 credit per point...

He needed at least 400  bill attack and 80 bill hp to pull it off.  Even with gold, that still costs almost 500 billion - - which is light years ahead of other players.
The biggest encounter other players are defeating at the moment is around 4 billion - and that's frikken exceptional - and you only need about 160 billion combined hp/attack to pull that off safely. This guy is more than twice that.

bare bones.

On SO main right now, Dark Cloud just owned all my stations.
Just a rough guestimate, but he's got a ship that cost at least half a trill.

I don't get it!!

8 days ago, if he had infinite mothership resources, and 5 mining facilities running full credits, and he saved every penny, he could have pulled that off....

I don't get it!! Jeez I would have invested in cloaking if I thought it was remotely possible to lose a station

Man, chronos really sets the gold standard.

In other news, eq for ship cost on gold is
(budget / .8) / (1-x%) where x is line assemble or what have you.

New York Times (a somewhat credible source?):
Quote
A simple search of published court decisions shows that Wikipedia is frequently cited by judges around the country, involving serious issues and the bizarre — such as a 2005 tax case before the Tennessee Court of Appeals concerning the definition of “beverage” that involved hundreds of thousands of dollars, and, just this week, a case in Federal District Court in Florida that involved the term “booty music” as played during a wet T-shirt contest.

p.s., I just can't help myself... but 'ad hominem' is... the entirety of your last post talking about weak arguments

There's no way any of this would make the game more fair for anyone, and no way to keep any of these idea's from being exploited. It adds almost no strategy...

1.000 * 60% = 600.

you mean 1.000 * (1-.6) = 400 damage dealth out of initial 1000
