This update will be in effect once the DDAY is over on SO Main.
Update includes:
- Whenever a successful PvP battle is complete, the winner will try to salvage the wrecks of the destroyed enemy fleets. - Salvage comes in the form of items from battle items, probes (Main), and most of the time mineral ore crates. - The number and value of the salvage is determined by the value of the destroyed enemy ships (5%-15% of the value.) - Salvage comes from PvP remote attacks or full assaults. Only when the attack is successful and enemy ships have been destroyed will the salvage attempt commence. - New commander skill: Expert Salvager, Increase the size of salvage found in PvP battles. (at 100% Expert Salvager, the base value of the finds are doubled, 200% tripled.)
- Update will be available on SO Main and SO Wars.
Thank you.

emi just a question, do you take into account the marines killed and lost??? becuase later in the round marines are alot more expensive then the ships themselfs..
i like the update so far, but when facing people with marines, i still make heavy loss's and i can only see that becoming a bigger problem as the round goes on.

Well it's possible to take into account marines, but how to explain salvaging the enemy marines killed... I mean ships leave a wreck that can be salvaged, but marines are just killed on both sides

Um unless the marines board via teleportation could you not salvage the ships they board with?

Yes, you already salvage the ships. The question was how do you salvage the corpses of the enemy marines?

Yes, you already salvage the ships. The question was how do you salvage the corpses of the enemy marines? easy. You salvage their equipment. This IS a space game, they're not walking around in earth like uniforms, they're wearing high-tech equipment/blasters, ect. So when you board the ships, you salvage what you can of their equipment too.
