The rankings probably did a partial update and got screwy. The powers seem to say that they're in the right order regardless of what the numbers say.

Well, the players are ordered by their power, and somethimes they jump up and down very quickly.
Because of the complex algorithm the ranking has, they will always be ordered by power regardless of rank.
When you un-reserve many fleets and jump or down, your ranking will update instantly, but the rank will not, because it has to count all the commanders in the game, so you are placed in the right position, but your rank numbers take more time to update.

The wrong rank number will happen mostly on 20+ rank -> 200 rank, were the moving of commanders is most active, however, it will fix itself every 10 minutes, and as I said, rank does not matter, the power does...
