I was just recently attacked on a full assult board by someone. Then i navigate to counter and i cant counter because they are too low of my power. he took 19bill$ and 100bill workers, but i cant get them back. May i suggest that for counters only, you can retaliate without them fleeing?

Nope. There was a huge discussion about this and it is not good. For example- someone hits you, u get a counter, then your friend hits that guy down a few sizes. And you overwhelm him without giving a chance to flee. My suggestion to you is: revise your fleets, if they are vulnerable to such small people, and invest in disruptors to stop warping him.

there r prolly many ways to use the protection system to ones advantage
though designed to protect, it often leads to strategies that misuse this system to achieve the opposite
ie if i attacked and powered down to dodge the counter, im effectively fleeing into noobness.. which is quite unfair cause im not and as such, it shouldnt protect me.. (unless the defender was bigger to begin with)

so how to solve this..
maybe its possible to take the evasion % the attacker had after he attacked and use it as the % for the counter (after all the ""trail"" is still fresh)
ie
player 1 with x power attacks player 2 with y power.. player 1 sends player 2 to the nebula, player 2 loses 25% power..
at this point, the evasion% is calculated for the counter so powering down to avoid a counter becomes pointless..

possible flaws:
should the attacker suddenly rise in power, it would become relatively harder to hit him..
so if current % < stored % then take current %

to counter the problem described by afb:
should the attacker get attacked and lose a certain % of his fp, the evasion% on the counter is adjusted

well i was the person that attacked u
u had 10 or more fleets of pships up and were in an incursion. thats ur own fault m8. if ur gonna be in an incursion, u cant sit idle for 10 mins.

i wasnt idle either, i was completely offline, i couldnt move because i was asleep. Also, if i dont use pships, then i will loose my main ships by the higher ranking people

well tactics is something for a different thread. there are ways to not use pships, but they are risky. try having only 1 fleets of pships that will give u a neb. make it more than 20% of ur power. and dont fall asleep in incursions  16
