I need a confirmation on this: Is there a possibility that ships running out of power?

Just did an encounter and something doesn't make sense....

My first fleet has enough firepower (about 50M) to obliterate the 8th fleet of the enemy, which consists of only 629 ships of 434 hitpoints each, and they have no defense whatsoever.

I have four fleet, and the enemy has 9. So the battle sequence commenced, and at the 5th fleet onwards, they attack my first fleet.

That's fine. I have prepared my first fleet with enough firepower to obliterate them.

My 1st fleet attacked enemy's 5th fleet with huge firepower and obliterated all the ships of enemy's 5th fleet.

Same as 6th fleet, and 7th fleet.

But when it comes to face enemy's 8th fleet, suddenly my 1st fleet do that "Did 0 damage" thingy to enemy's 8th fleet which has low ship number (629), low hitpoint count(434) and NO defense !!!

What is going on???

The only reasonable explanation for this weird incident is that my 1st fleet ran out of power.

Is that true???

If my assumption is true, then, is there a way to calculate how much power should I put into a ship so that it will NEVER ran out of power, even if it has to face enemy's 20th fleet?

Next time, if you can copy the battle log and paste it here...it will help with your question.

The answer to your question is...yes...sort of.

I'm sure someone else can give you a more definite answer but basically the first attack of any ship is always at 100% power/efficiency/or any other word you can use to describe it. THe next attack from the same ship is less effective and then the third tends to be 0 attack.

Yeah usually second or third attack from a ship does 0 damage.

Even if your ships have a ton of attack, the third attack does 0 damage

No....ships don't have power. I think there is confusion between what you mean by "power".

Umm.... sorry, I was not making it clear, was I?

Ok, one more try.

What if I make a ship with the a lot of power generators. Let's say the power supply is 3X, and total demand of power (weapon, computer, shield, specials) is only 1X.

In such a scenario, my ship has 2X of power in excess, right?

So .... in such a situation, when that ship meets with opponents that comes in many fleets, does it (my ship) has enough power to do multiple strikes?

No there is no way for one fleet to make multiple strikes without reduced damage after the first. If you were to make a ship like you suggested you would just have excess power that would  do nothing.
